“If heard about this little restaurant and passed by many times. Today I stopped. And I'm glad I did. Got a vegetable taco salad to go. The server was very helpful with her suggestions for a meatless meal. Maybe the best taco salad I've ever had. I will definitely be stopping there again. And I suggest you do too.”

Today someone got frustrated with me after getting loud over the phone because I didn’t understand that he was saying $6.60 instead $16. I called back to add another item and they hung up. I called back a third time and no one answered. Very very rude.”

“You know how memories of a place often exceed the reality? Not so with our recent stop at Shoney’s in Florence, SC. We used to drive the I-95 corridor to Florida every year when our kids were small, and the favorite stop for us and our kids was Shoney’s. We haven’t been in many years and it lived up to our fondest memories. We had their Thursday buffet which included a beautiful salad bar and an outstanding breakfast bar. Everything was fresh, and the hot foods were hot. Delightful French toast sticks, sausage was tasty, country gravy was yummy, macaroni salad flavorful. Blueberry muffins were fluffy and delicious. And much much more. Service was prompt with frequent check ins. We will definitely be back.”

“Some of the best beers are served up at this brewery. It was at a convenient location for us to stop at mid-day. We appreciated the early opening time. We walked in and found a taproom/restaurant that was very clean and well maintained. The decor was modern and inviting. Danny greeted us at the door and he couldn't have been nicer. He was our bartender too and was very accommodating to our tastes. There was a really great selection of different styles of beer and we picked what we wanted for a flight and took up Danny's suggestions for the next one. All the beers were very good or better. The most amazing ones were the Beach Peach Wheat Ale and Green Strings Märzen. We also met the owner who delighted us with the story of the brewery itself and informative facts about craft beer in SC. Between the bartender, Danny, and the owner, the folks at Southern Hops were warm and friendly and made us feel welcome. We came to try the beer and didn't try the food. Maybe next time we will come for a meal too. We would like to visit again soon and try more of the great tasting brews.
