I'm definitely dropping 5 stars for North West Grill In Travelers Rest South Carolina! From the time I walked in I knew this was going to be a good run for me. I love the old fashioned places & I always know with places like this the food is going to be good! Mr John hands down you got the best burger ? in the Upstate! This small place is a BIG GEM ?! I had my mouth set on a juicy delicious burger & you provided everything I expected! On the way I was checking out the burgers posted on maps and it stole me instantly! I ordered the smoked Gouda Pimento cheese Bacon cheeseburger and my lord ? yes you gotta cut them burgers in half! It was delicious! I recommend 10/10! The fries were delicious and they don't need any seasoning to me, they are old fashioned cut home fries and they are delicious! I put vinegar on my fries and it took my back to the fair days I have had in Shelby NC with the vinegar fries. You nailed those fries! I also ordered Onion rings and they were delicious as well. My friend got the country fried steak and gravy mash potatoes and gravy and Mac and cheese, and the slaw is perfect. It's creamy mayonnaise based and vinegar and I love it! We also got a hunk of chocolate cake which I was stuffed and could only take a couple bites of but it was delicious. I want the hummingbird cake when I come back it was sold out but I just know it's good! I also ordered 2 hotdogs to go and I ate them later that night. They were slamming! Thank you Amber for making those and providing good service to us! I met some good people over the weekend here and I'll definitely be back to see you! I also signed and put my $1 on the wall as you walk in it's right to the right! CarolinasSweetTea!! I can't wait to come back and see y'all! Everything was delicious! You deserve 5 stars and I'd give 100 if it was a choice! Out of all the places I've been here in the upstate this topped it off. The Best! I'm a country woman so I fit right on in here! The decor the food the service everything was great! Get that REV BENNY and that pimento bacon cheeseburger! That's what you want!Vegetarian options: You can order salads!Parking: If it's packed be prepared for it but I think you'll be okKid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: Small place but I'm pretty sure they will accommodate you no problem
Nice small restaurant. When I arrived the cook was leaving from the back of the building where they have to smoke and walked in right after me. He didn’t wash his hands or nothing just started grabbing food with no gloves. But, I ordered flounder with fries and broccoli cheese casserole. I like the fact they cut the potatoes but the fries didn’t have any type of salt or seasoning , just fried and put in the box. Fish is frozen fried so not much I can say about it but it wasn’t seasoned.

Online stated it was open, we drove from duncan 45min away only to find out it was closed for renovations. ? but we will be back to check it out when they open back up. Heard nothing but good things about this place!!

Great hole in the wall independent spot. Burgers taste like homemade on the outdoor grill. Highly recommend!!

Northwest Grill is a funky little burger joint that should be on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives!A buddy took me here when we coming back from a little hike in the area a few weeks ago.The place is an old gas station/ convenience store that's been converted into a tiny restaurant. There's not anything fancy about it.I got one of the burger plates, and it was one of the best burgers I've had in awhile! The bacon was crisp, the burger was juicy and seasoned perfectly. And the fries were delicious, you could tell the oil was fresh because you didn't taste that old fry oil flavor in the fries.The people there were very friendly and the service was top notch. You couldn't ask for a better experience.If you're anywhere near the area and craving a good burger, you can't go wrong with Northwest Grill.
