It had been a while since I had been to Travelers Rest. Our cousins told us about this place, talking it up, and their words really didn't do the food Justice.
I went for a low carb Carolina Hash with a little bit of protein added, and the taste combinations reminded me of when my dad used to experiment in the kitchen. He was a great chef, and those tastes really took me back.
I thought it was funny that the server was very concerned that I only ordered water.
Not a slight to the service, but it did stick with me. LOL
Dietary restrictions: All vegan options and gluten-free options were clearly labeled.

If you're looking for a unique and memorable dining experience, look no further than Top Soil in Travelers Rest,South Carolina. This was the recent location for a family celebration and nothing could have been more perfect for the occasion. The relaxed ambiance, the farm to table cuisine, homemade bread and pastries provide a wide variety of choices that will surely delight.We. all dined on the deck overlooking the Swamp Rabbit Trail wrapped in nature that TR is well known for.This area can be converted to accommodate all types of weather. Rounding out our experience is the one element that will make or break any anticipated experience, that being an engaged,supportive management and staff.You may rest assured Top Soil has this covered. My sincere appreciation to the management and staff that made this an experience we will not forget, but will certainly be among the top reasons we come back.

We had a lovely lunch on the back deck listening to acoustic music. It was so such a special experience. The food was beautiful and delicious and the staff was lovely. Can’t wait to go back!

Outrageously good. We are from nyc and know our food. Wow. Tasting menu was fabulous. Staff was friendly, restaurant was beautiful and clean. Make sure to order Vicario spirits off the cocktail / drink menu.

We recently had my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner at Topsoil. It was a wonderful experience from the planning stage to the actual event. Kerstin, one of their managers, invited us to enjoy brunch since we were unfamiliar with the restaurant. We knew right away that they were the venue for us! The food is fresh, delicious, and unique. I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich and crispy brussels! Kerstin was easy to communicate with regarding our event and suggested we use their porch for our group. It was a cozy setting including the family-style way they served the food. They even provided a basket of blankets along with propane heaters. The staff working our event, Hannah and Jennifer, were lovely, fun and engaging with our group. They took excellent care of us! I highly recommend Topsoil for brunch, dinner, and private events.

I did not want to write this review but someone needs to be done. First off the food and service was amazing per usual, Martinis were top notch as always.
My issues is the host/manger. My husband and I eat here once a month with no reservations we come in around 5-530 and sit at the bar no issues, but not this time the lady at the front stopped us and said no you cant sit at the bar, do you have a reservation? " She said the bar is for our regular customers only" first off that is very rude and belittling to say to a paying customer at your restaurant. I was very dumbfounded that she actually said that so I made her repeat it. She continue to say oh we have a table for you, after that she could see we were upset and tried to make up for her mistake by giving up two glasses of less than par champagne. Honestly at this point my husband and I wanted to leave we could see your host talking about us, but we didn't want to take away from the kind waitress that had already brought us our drinks. After being said the bar never filled up the whole time we were eating dinner there was plenty of space for my husband and I to sit and enjoy a nice quick dinner. I just want to know what its takes to be a regulars customer to have a seat at your bar, Earlier this summer I had my rehearsal dinner at your restaurant and then spend $250 dollars on dinner to just be treated with disrespect. Highly disappointed.
