Their vietnamese coffee is so good but their hours are really bad. I come into TR sometimes in the mornings, always hoping to be able to get one of these, and they are NEVER open.
The pho is pretty good imo, but pretty pricey. It doesn't have crazy depth of flavor, but instead uses really high quality ingredients.
I am vegan and so finding vegan options can be difficult at times. Here, the vegan options are clearly stated on the menu and are delicious. I had the tofu spring rolls for an appetizer and they were great, the herb leaves gave it a nice fresh taste along with the mild crunch of the tofu. I shared fried tofu with my sister and that was probably one of the best seasoned tofu I had, really complemented by the hosin sauce dip. And for my entree had the vegan pho, broth was nice and light while still having a good taste and there were so many things in the pho: noodles, tofu, carrot, zucchini, cabbage, cilantro, fried onion, and bean sprouts. I probably forgot to list a few things haha. Would highly recommend this place.

I like this place. But I'm from Seattle, Pho capital of the country, and I have to suggest not putting meat in to cook ahead of time. most places give you the meat to cook in the Pho yourself so it isn't so dry. Other than that your customer service is top notch and pho is very good. Just work on the dry meat thing and you guys are golden. And maybe add a little more meat because it was a bit skimpy. Thumbs up, otherwise.

I’m so thankful for this place- it’s hard to find good pho that has genuinely good flavor to their broth, TruBroth has it.
The Beef Pho is my favorite. The staff are helpful and friendly and the place has an atmosphere of “coffee shop” vibes. Speaking of which, they have coffee and tea that you can order as well- what could go wrong?

If I could give 1,000,000+ stars I would. Best service, best food, best quality cooked EVERYTHING. The broth is the most life-reviving, miracle, delicious liquid I’ve ever tasted. It’s a daily staple. I gift it to every new mom, sick friend, and everybody. Always come here!!!!

Tldr: chef Mike was working overtime in the back
This was my second time at Tru Broth. I wanted to give it a second chance before I reviewed.
The first time I went the pho was ok. It tasted watered down, and was just mediocre.
The second time it was the same, though both times the meat was already precooked which is weird for a traditional pho. Typically the raw meat is added to the broth that has been simmering for hours, and you see it cook in front of you. A little weird, but I can't see what they're doing in the back.
But with how oppressively quiet it is, I can HEAR what happens in the back. And before our food (including our dumplings) came out, I heard the telltale sounds of a microwave being set, and going off.
I decided to break social norms, and ask one of the gentlemen how they made the dumplings, wondering if they'd own up to it. I believe the son of the owner was the one who came over, and started explaining how dumplings were made. Not how THEY made them. Finishing with "we steam them".
Now I could be wrong, they could have some weird power steamer with a timer that sounds like a microwave and is somehow able to steam a dumpling in less than 5 minutes.... But I'm not holding my breath.
Also I heard the telltale beeps once again for a to-go order that came out, and I heard at least two cycles so... Unless they are getting a lot of dumplings...
As a side note I had to ask about bean sprouts and lime and they were a bit bothered which was weird, since typically they come with pho. I know they were bothered because again, no one talks in the restaurant, and voices carry.
In conclusion: it seems from last reviews they used to be a lot better, but have since declined, and if the emptiness of the restaurant is any indication -they continue to do so.
BUT: their drinks are pretty good. Little heavy on ice but who isn't these days? In my completely unprofessional opinion, they should drop the food and just make it more like a hang out and work coffee place.

Worst Vietnamese food you can imagine. The spring rolls tasted of freezer burn, broth was too salty.

Drove an hour to come eat. Arrived 50 minutes before close and was told they were only doing carry out orders. When we inquired why the response was the manager said no more orders. VERY poor customer service!
One of my favorite little spots in TR! Great food, reasonable prices, yummy drinks—what more could one want?
This is the wonton soup and spring rolls.
Ask about their steamed buns! They aren’t on the menu, but sometimes they have them and they are SO DANG GOOD.

The young gentleman who works there is so attentive and friendly! He really set the mood for my dinner and made me feel welcome. So many places don’t even greet you these days. Ill be back because of this!
