The chicken wings and sweet potato fries are delicious!

The girl who was running the show knew her stuff! It got busy and she never slowed down.
Great service. The cheese bites were our favorite.

At first, I gave this place 5 stars. The food is good normally, but it is kinda pricey. However, they used to give a complimentary tea with each meal (the burger meals at least). Last time I order, they said they have stopped giving tea with an order. To charge almost $13 for a burger and no drink is just ridiculous. I won't be ordering from them again. So sad. I was excited to have a local place near by to get a good meal. But if this is your new policy, I'll spend my money where they include a drink with the expensive meal.

This adorably Southern named, bear themed restaurant has a cute, casual, family- friendly diner atmosphere with a small birthday bear statue, a large life size furry bear and cute bear cub in a tree for photos. Young children may fear the big bear despite its friendly face and the restaurant sign saying it’s “huggable”, but I loved the atmosphere, especially after a day of hiking. There was also a table outside for dining. We spilt the Bacon Me Crazy Burger and a small Islander Bear pizza (bacon, ham, pineapple, and tomato pizza). Both were very good! We also loved the sweet potato fries and my husband enjoyed a layered chocolate cake. In addition to a full lunch/ dinner menu and a kid’s menu, they served a variety of desserts on display and had an ice cream counter too which I believe is what they are most known for since the restaurant’s sign says “Shugabears Sweets and Treats”. But they obviously have so much more! Additionally, there are items for sale that may appeal to tourists like a cute stuffed bear, funny signs, hand painted glasses and special chips and popcorn. The staff is friendly and efficient as well! Be aware that this restaurant is small with only 6 or 7 tables so it cannot accommodate a large crowd, but you could order to go. We will definitely be back when we are in the area! It’s worth your visit!

Vegetarian options: There was a veggie pizza and a sandwich made only with various cheeses.

Parking: There are parking spaces in front of the restaurant. It wasn’t busy at the time so we found a spot easily and didn’t need to search further so I don’t know if there were parking options other than along the street.

Kid-friendliness: The restaurant has a family friendly cute, bear themed diner atmosphere with a small birthday bear statue, a large life size furry bear and cute bear cub in a tree for photos. Young children may fear the big bear despite its friendly face and the restaurant sign saying it’s “huggable”. There’s an ice cream counter that’s always a hit with kids and a kid friendly menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the ground floor without steps so entering through the double doors with a wheelchair would be no issue. The seating is table and chairs so removing a chair for a wheelchair won’t be an issue.

This is the place to go for a cake if you have an upcoming event or birthday!! The baker lady is so nice and truly talented and her cakes are not only beautiful but they are absolutely delicious!!
The first one I ordered was a strawberry cake with fresh Strawberries decorated for a golf theme. I couldn't find anywhere that still did those and when we called SugarBears, they agreed to make it even though I needed it the next morning! Now, I have had a lot of strawberry cakes but this one was unbelievable! So moist and the flavor was amazing!
The 2nd time I needed a cake was a couple of weeks later as it was my mom's 81st birthday! Mom loves Pina colada desserts so I asked if I could have a Pina colada cake made. The baker told me she hadn't done one but we discussed a few details about it and she said she could do it. I asked if she could also put flowers on top and toasted coconut.
When we came to pick it up, I can honestly say I was stunned at the beautiful cake she had made!! The flowers were so delicate and life-like and the added touch of little leaves around the outside and cake pearls really added to it! I told my husband that I expected it to be pretty but had no idea how absolutely gorgeous it would be!!
The flavor did not disappoint either! It was so moist and light and the whipped icing with pineapple was such a perfect touch on a summer day!
I will be coming here for all my cake orders in the future!

The Honey Bear Salad was delicious! The dressing was just the right amount and all the ingredients were so fresh! Since I was eating this healthy salad, I got dessert too.

We were passing through the
area and decided to stop for lunch. Googled up food near me and this popped up. I would rather eat at a good mom n pop place and decided to go here just on the name alone and we were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent. It's worth a visit if you're in the area and we'll be back again.

Cute little place for a quick bite! Seating was limited but we went right in and got a table. The staff is very friendly. Food was good. I could have made a meal on the fries alone! Would definitely go back if I'm ever back in this area!

Roast beef in sandwich was dry. Overcooked. The sweet potato fries were also overcooked and had burn marks.
The owners are cranky people that think their food is outstanding and don't accept honest reviews.
Never again.
