We are blessed to live close to Carmine's Trattoria. Giuseppe and staff are as awesome as the food. If you're ever in Walterboro, South Carolina stop on by or miss out on authentic Italian cuisine !!! P.S. and dessert!!!

This establishment is located in old historical district in downtown Walterboro approximately 10 minutes off I-95. Perfect ambience for the Italian cuisine on its menu. Nice entree and wine wine selections. Seated immediately on arrival. About a dozen tables had guests seated at them. We were brought a nice cut up loaf of warm bread & dipping oil that was fantastic. Drink orders were taken. I had a nice sized glass of red wine to set the stage. Entree orders were taken and we did wait about 30 minutes before being served. Sign was posted on door at entrance that they were short help and to be patient, and we were. It was worth the wait. I ordered their lasagna smothered with bolognese sauce and it was absolutely delicious. A generous portion that came hot and I topped it off with fresh ground Parmesan cheese. I’d highly recommend you take time to visit this eatery, especially if looking for a place to have a special moment with your significant other, or you simply have a craving for some authentic Italian cuisine.

Quaint. Service was confusing. We had two waitresses that kept switching on and off. Couldn't figure out who was taking our order. One was more knowledgeable than the other so I suspect that one was training. Food was good but not exceptional. It was not busy when we were there so that was not a reflection of service or quality.Mom

my wife and I were traveling from new england to florida and stopped for the night in walterboro. the hotel host recommended Carmines. we thought that an Italian place in SC would be a reach, but went in when we rode by. Boy were we glad. the food, service vibe was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Giuseppe & his lovely wife are the REAL DEAL! You've NEVER had Italian until you've eaten his authentic cooking!!!Vegetarian options: Their fettuccine Alfredo with portobellos was off the chain!!! No watered down sauce. You can tell there's no skimping on the REAL Parmesan here! So many flavor 'notes' going on in there. Cheese lovers, rejoice, you've been seen & served. ??Dietary restrictions: Lots of great options and specials for everyone's taste buds and needs.Parking: Plenty of free parking and a free City parking lot nearby to boot, so spend the money on their to-die-for tiramisu instead!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access with a low ramp inside and even railings just in case.
