I like to say from what I seen inside this place run for the hills. I never understand Chinese buffets they all look so bad the food just looks awful the environment just makes me think how are you even open. But I will tell you I never get the buffet I always order to go. The food was surprisingly well cooked and rather good. Some woman came in while I waited and said she gets there frogs legs. Never in my life heard of frog legs in america at a buffet. I did see crawfish also. So if the buffet turns you off get food to go order

Me and my husband were in town on business. We walked in and no one was at the entrance so we waited. Woman came out with food in her mouth and instead of asking us about the number in our party, she points to a booth. Rude. There wasn't much of a selection at all. Most foods trays were empty and it was maybe 5:30. The food was God awful so we left but we did pay even though it said $14.99 per person and my final bill was over $30. This is the 2nd restaurant in Walterboro we wouldn't recommend.

Surprisingly decent Chinese food. Fried chicken, soups and frog are good. Price is reasonable. Service is okay.
Edit: Visited again one year later. Same quality of food and reasonably price. But the place needs upgrade. And the water tasted funny.

Was there a couple weeks ago. Used to be a great place to eat now the food is cold, unflavored, half filled and overcooked. The staff acts like the customers are bothering them. It's turned into a daycare for their own children.
I've been to this place before and I rated it as mediocre at best the last time. Well not much has changed, I made the mistake of coming back I'm trying to be kind here so visit at your own risk.

Sorry veggy. It not for you. In most of food they mix the pork and Beef. But my one friend he liked the food test of non veg.

As you walk in the door of New China Buffet, one is met with a foul smell. Dead rat, I thought? I should have turned around and fled. Table for two as my daughter and I were returning to South Florida. Almost $40 for a late Sunday afternoon meal. The unlimited buffet and two glasses of water. China Buffet is a bare bones Chinese restaurant in a strip center off of Interstate 95 in Waltersboro, South Carolina. The food itself is barely edible, terrible in taste, and seemingly overcooked. Table service was slow. The server had a simple job - keep the water glass full and the table clear of plates. She failed at this simple task as the water glass was never filled. I quit eating after a second plate and switched to the prepackaged ice cream. I ate two, "trying hard" to get my monies worth. Steer clear of China Buffet. Not only does the restaurant smell absolutely foul, but the food isn't any better.
