We’ve longed for a date night spot in Walterboro and have finally found one!! Tavern on the Green was so delicious!! There were so many unique options, I’m glad they’re nearby so we can try them all! My husband could tell the chicken carbonara was an actual carbonara sauce- not just Alfredo with bacon in it. I had a bison burger over salad with mushrooms and onions, which I was delighted to see were in a red wine reduction!! It’s family friendly and will become one of our regular spots!!!

We had the Chicken Carbonara and it was absolutely amazing!! Beautifully presented , and cooked to perfection. It was truly the best we have ever had !
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive , ensuring everything was perfect . The owner, Mark, went above and beyond, accommodating every request. He made our dining experience fabulous.

Tavern on the Green is an amazing restaurant! Great place, food, and people. The seared tuna with plum sauce appetizer was so good. The flavors just explode in your mouth. Elk burger was amazing too! Also the dipping sauce for the sweet potatoes fries is something you have to try!

This restaurant is located on a golf course and is only a year old. Plenty of parking and handicap assessable. It has both outdoor and indoor seating with dogs being allowed outside. My son had the she crab soup and it was fabulous and homemade mushroom ravioli. I had the prime rib b quesadillas. Food was superb and the service was excellent. Very nice surroundings overlooking the golf course. Highly recommend!!

During the summer, this became our go-to place on Thursday evenings. My dogs and I would sit on the patio and enjoy the stunning views and amazing food while waiting for my boyfriend to finish a round of golf. Now that the time is about to change, the golf may be over, but we'll still come to the Tavern!I've never gotten anything from the menu that wasn't absolutely fantastic. Wonderful wings, delicious she-crab soup, and one of the best hamburgers I've had ANYWHERE! Mark takes such great pride in his food, and it pays off. A Charleston-level food experience right here in Walterboro!

The she crab soup as an appetizer was an excellent choice. The spicy plum sauce wings were absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed a smoked rosemary pomegranate martini had an unexpected twist to his delight. We will be back.
Wheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair access leads directly to the dining room which have nice views from every window.
Very nice place to have dinner. Excellent foot. Not many places like this in the area.

Love the pet friendly patio overlooking the golf course. ( My dogs do too!)It's a beautiful atmosphere! The food is amazing and Mark takes great pride in it - it shows! We dine there weekly and I've never gotten anything from the menu I didn't love!

Delicious mushroom port cheese tortellini veggie option was fantastic as was the olive tapenade! ? Sweet potato fries and drinks were irresistible!!!
Vegetarian options: Pasta was great and Chef Mark will go out of his way to accommodate for veggie options.
The pricing for food that people have rated it is untrue. Sure, some of the specialty items may be pricier (ie prime rib, fresh sea food) but not even close to the $30-50 people are saying it is. Great food, atmosphere, and service!
