If you’ve been to Waffle House once you may think you’ve been to them all, but this specific location is different, thanks to a cook named Shell. Shell cooks like somebody’s Grandma, and really takes pride in everything she cooks. You have never truly had great Waffle House until you’ve been to this EXACT LOCATION on 1646 Bells Hwy in Walterboro, SC. The rest of the staff is super friendly as well.

This was a very impressive waffle House. The staff helped each other wait on tables, staff was kind when I thought I lost my phone. They were willing to call.... Someone else was even cleaning the very top of the light fixtures... And the eggs and home fries were not as greasy as they often are in other waffle houses... But it's the staff that was really terrific!

Being and old Waffle House customer, I offered my wife the choice of a muffin at the hotel or here. She immediately took me up on my offer. We sat at the counter. Service was as good as expected, the waitress had a beautiful smile and would occasionally show it. We enjoyed watching the cook and waitress as they lined up orders. That in itself if impressive. I LOVE their hash browns, they cook them until one side is crisp, yes, that's what I'm talking about. Hash browns and bacon, an a beautiful smile to brighten my day. See yall soon

We frequent Waffle Houses all over due to our work schedule and location while we're traveling. We've always had a fun, pleasurable experience with the staff. This location is a little odd and seems off.
The staff isn't the friendliest. While dining in, we were met with stares, quiet whispers and passive aggressiveness. Very unwelcoming and quite frankly, we left scratching our head wondering what kind of weird that was.

This location has redeemed how I feel about the brand compared to Charlotte nc
Our service was horrible. The waitress didn't take our order for 10 minutes. She didn't bring our drinks until our food came our. I felt like we were intruding on her time. She would wait on everyone but us and then as an after thought come to our table to check on us. She didn't want to bring us drink refills until we asked for them. We stopped in because we were traveling and I actually enjoy eating at waffle house regularly but i will never stop here again. The service was terrible and I felt unwelcome.
