then i went to the ladies restroom and there was no tissue paper to be found! i looked at the overflowing trash can and i could tell the paper towel s is what was being used!
Bathroom was a mess!

What an incredible find during our adventure at Kings Mountain State Park! As my wife and I explored the park, we worked up an appetite and set out in search of a good meal. That’s when we discovered Hoof & Barrel in York, South Carolina—a true hidden gem.
I went all in with a mouthwatering slab of Angus beef, while my wife opted for the Cougar Classic burger. Both were absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor. But the experience didn’t stop at the food—Andrea, our server, went above and beyond, making us feel right at home with her outstanding service.
If you’re anywhere near York, do yourself a favor and stop by Hoof & Barrel. Even if you’re not hungry, it’s worth the visit!

We recently moved to York and we decided to try Hoof and Barrel. Our waitress, Sophie E., was AMAZING. She was so sweet to our two boys (she even helped entertain our 2 year old) and was on top of everything. 10/10! Thank you, Sophie for this wonderful experience!

Atmosphere was good, service was good, shrimp and grits were not. Sadly these were probably the worst shrimp and grits I have ever had. Portion was good, plating was nice but shrimp had a cinnamon flavor (?????), grits were grainy and not creamy, not warm enough to even melt the cheddar cheese on top. The only things that saved this review were their dining room and bar were aesthetic, tea was amazing and the cheesesteak we ordered was one of the best we have ever had! Will be going back solely because of the cheesesteak!

Atomosphere was lovely for sure, service was excellent, food was pretty good, not the best wings I have ever had, but a solid go. If I remember correctly, it was $13 for 8 large wings which isn't too crazy. Would still go again to try other dishes.

My family stayed in the area for the Maxxis National Championship and after a long day at the race track we stopped by for dinner an hour before they closed. You can tell they don't get many diners that late on a Sunday because they were removing chairs and cleaning up. They were surprised to see us come through the door but were willing to accommodate us for our late meal. The service and food were excellent. The screaming goat burger was fantastic.

I visited Hoof and Barrel for the first time, and I was very impressed. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside. They have a nice selection of food, and I had the Hoof Cobbler salad. It had chicken with avocado, tomato, eggs, goat cheese, and croutons. I really enjoyed it. They have a small bar inside that looks cool. I was very impressed with the Hoof and Barrel and look forward to coming back and eating dinner and grabbing an adult beverage.
