I call it “pie soup”

The grouper was really tasty, but the chicken and dumplings were a major miss. Instead of actual dumplings, it was literally sweet biscuit dough shaped into baseball-sized balls. The whole dish felt like a messed-up version of chicken pot pie — veggies, some kind of gravy, and giant sweet biscuits that didn’t belong. By the time I tried eating around them, my plate basically turned into mashed-potato-looking slop.

To top it off, the pecan pie dessert came out as pie soup. It was obviously microwaved way too long, completely ruining the texture. Definitely disappointing overall.

The owner berated a waitress today in front of others. This is not a good environment to enjoy a meal in. There’s a way to hold your team accountable without humiliating them.

This restaurant has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and the first thing that catches your attention upon entering is the kind and welcoming attitude of the staff. I ordered the “Double smash Burger” (cooked medium) with fries. The food was served quickly, but the burger had absorbed a bit too much oil, and many of the fries were burnt. Overall, though, I wasn’t dissatisfied — the burger was tasty, and the ingredients were fresh. I paid $1 for the fries, $3 for the Diet Coke , and $14 for the burger.

This place is great. Handmade egg rolls are killer. Get buckets of oysters the first Saturday each month. Great atmosphere with available outdoor dining. In the center of historic downtown York, SC. Plenty of shops within walking distance.

We love this place. This is my favorite in the area, actually. Ambience is casual, fun. The servers always good. Yesterday Maria was a server for our late lunch/early dinner. She was wonderful, attentive, friendly and had good suggestions. We consistently order the blackened grouper which is always excellent. I had red skin mashed potatoes and the corn casserole, both of which were delicious. Even my leftovers I took home and later ate cold out of the refrigerator. Also, Maria recommended the lovely raspberry cheesecake which we took home and I devoured a mere 3 hours later. Highly recommended!

This was my first time at this eatery. It was quite adequate with pretty good food and a friendly atmosphere. The staff were also friendly and professional.

This is still the most inconsistent food in town. Guess it's the cooks but generally the staff and atmosphere is great...the food can be pretty good or just awful. I ordered a Cuban and it came on white bread toasted... that should be removed from the menu as it is an abomination to call it a Cuban sandwich. The mac and cheese had baked crunchy pasta served to us as well which is really awful considering you can get better out of a frozen package microwaved... Some dishes are decent but they should reconsider the menu choices and food prep to improve.
