Three employees manning a single counter and they expect you to grab your order of donuts by yourself while the other two just stand there .Then they accuse you of taking an extra box without even checking the bill.Cant even be bothered to check the order before accusing the customer.
I love this place. Best cider (and hard cider) you can get. Also the donuts...mwahh! *chefs kiss*
This is my second time visiting Windy Hill Orchard & Cider and this time during their Fall Festival. I decided to grab a flight of their special selection of ciders. Ginger Gold and the Bourbon based cider were my favorite. Oh and let's not forget the doughnuts! Upon departure, we purchased a half dozen doughnuts and a few bottles of cider.
We were able to go apple picking which I would definitely recommend. Be sure you book your tickets in advance if you are going apple picking as slots fill-up fast.
Haven’t been there yet but I had the apple pie which was so delicious.
Windy Hill Orchard and Cider Mill is a good spot for a fall afternoon. The food here is fantastic, with the donuts being a standout treat – fresh, hot, and just absolutely delicious. The food truck also offers a variety of tasty options that are sure to satisfy any craving. They were out of a lot when we got here.
However, be prepared for a very long line at the bar. It can get quite busy, especially on weekends, so patience is key if you’re looking to enjoy their hard cider. Despite the wait, the atmosphere is wonderful, with a loud yet enjoyable vibe that makes the experience worth it.
The shop is well-stocked with a variety of items, perfect for picking up some unique gifts or treats to take home. Parking is decent, though it can fill up quickly during peak times.
Overall, Windy Hill Orchard & Cider Mill offers a great atmosphere, delicious food, and a great shop, making it a worthwhile visit despite the busy bar.
Cute. Good for a nice fall day. Enjoyed the donuts and the cider flight.
Cool little spot. We come at least once a year during the fall to hang out with a cider flight and some donuts. They have live music often and the staff have always been friendly when we come through. Parking can be a little tight when it’s busy but definitely worth a visit.
This place is nothing more than a roadside vender. While there are apple trees on the property, there isn't much. I wasn't surprised at the lack of apples considering my partner and I visited in late October, but I thought there would be more activities or at least something for entertainment. My partner and I weren't greeted at all and when trying to ask a question we were actually ignored by staff completely. Don't waste your gas on this place. Just go to the grocery store for your apples.
We went for the first time today for the donuts and I must say best donuts in York! Will definitely be back to try the hard cider!
Great family time! Definitely a place to bring family, friends, and fur babies.

Amazing place
This was a fun way to spend a couple hours on a beautiful afternoon! The cider donuts are delicious!!!
I love it here! Open, airy atmosphere. Great ciders -Strawberry was my fav on this trip. Apples are great for my homemade apple butter. Of course, the donuts are absolutely perfect for pairing with a glass of ginger gold cider!
Good cider, Rusty Gold was my favorite from the flight. The donuts are delicious and the fried pie is very worthwhile. Take some donuts home with you everyone will love them.
