I didn't like the busboy walking around with a dirty cloth. He used it on every table he cleared off. That is not very sanitary. Someone should help him and give him directions. Also our server did a good job and didn't write down our order and it was correct, but she could have been a WHOLE LOT happier. she rarely smiled and she really didn't want to be there. WE will be back, the food was good, but if I see that busboy again and he has a dirty cloth, I will say something, and WON"T be back!

Won’t be back, we were there Sunday night at 6:00, bathrooms were dirty and the guy cleaning the tables would wipe a table off and then swing the towel around that he had used to wipe the table off. Floor was dirty and the staff looked very unprofessional.
Drinks were well made. Our waitress quickly corrected a mistake in our food. Abundant amount of TVs. We'll be back.

Enjoyed the food, potato skins in particular best ive had. Really disappointed with the service on the night. Was staying in hotel round the corner for 1 night. Wanted food and also a few beers. Went there got served by a guy in dreadlocks. Food was spot on but server went missing had to go to bar for drinks. Came back later with his air pods in just rushed us out of the place when we were looking to stay for a few drink after our meal.
Wouldnt have minded if he said look its the end of my shift can i close out the tab and then hand you over the the guy behind the bar for drink but he didnt. Barely spoke. I left a tip to avoid the reprecussions but would have rather seen this go to the kitchen.
Very mixed experience. Maybe he knew with us not being local we'd not be back so wasnt bothered? But from looking forward to the night to having to tarnish the efforts of the kitchen staff and overall rstaurant review because of the server is sad.

Had quesadilla, more than enough, we're part of group of 12. Had table that all could enjoy, served on time. With great waitress.
Really good food, great service. We were driving through. Great stop.

While our food was good, the management seems to be a bit of a bully. Yelling at another employee about someone and airing your personal business in front of customers is not becoming of you and I felt bad for the server because he had to still put up with you and have a smile on his face while you smugly sat at the end of the bar gossiping.

Tailgators has always held a special place in my heart—my family used to own it, so walking in now still brings back a lot of great memories. I’m happy to say that the overall vibe is just as warm and welcoming as it was when I was a kid.
One thing I do miss is the personalized TVs at each booth. They were such a fun and unique feature, especially for families with kids. It gave little ones a chance to pick their own shows, making meals more enjoyable (and easier for the parents!). Hopefully, that’s something that might make a comeback in the future.
The bathrooms are the same as I remember from years ago and could definitely use a remodel to match the rest of the restaurant’s growth and potential.
Speaking of potential, the outdoor patio is a great space—it’s roomy, comfortable, and has a lot of charm. I’d love to see it used more often because it could be a standout feature, especially during nice weather.
Now to the food—the menu is excellent! You can find just about anything you’re in the mood for, whether it’s a fresh salmon salad, a hearty steak, or some delicious Southwest egg rolls. The portion sizes are generous, and the prices are more than fair.
The staff is always kind and attentive. They make you feel right at home, and that welcoming attitude is what keeps people coming back.
Overall, Tailgators is still a great local spot in Brandon—perfect for families, casual dinners, or just a nice bite to eat. I’m glad to see it thriving and hope it continues to grow while keeping the same community-focused spirit.

It's a little on the pricey side, but the food is really good. Their monthly specials are always good too.
