This is the Chris McCandless bar! Any of you who have not read the book and watched the movie, do so! Sad story but still unreal that such a small town in SD was made famous by the antics of a young traveler in the early 90s. I wonder if anyone who knew Chris is still around to tell the story..
The Cabaret used to be a friendly bar where you could sit back and relax this is no longer the case. The male bartender was extremely rude, he acted mad that 15 of us walked in. The waitress took our $30 winning lottery ticket and said she didn't know where it went. She wouldn't look in the garbage or anywhere she just said she didn't know where it went, it was not 2 hours later it was 10 minutes later and wouldn't look for it. Its like these people...
The food is great and tasty and people are nice and welcoming .nice things to look at and the history that comes along with it ..keep up the good work y'all doing great ..and the management is awesome could be happier to have a place to walk into and feel welcomed .
