My best advice is simply to go there on your next river trip and see for yourself how terrific the owner is.

The food here is amazing and clearly made with love. The BLT is gigantic (the bacon is always perfect), the burgers are drool-worthy, salads are delicious, chislic omelette is to die for. Basically everything I’ve tried has been scrumptious. They get really busy at lunch, so plan ahead and place your order ahead of time if you don’t want to wait! My only complaint is that they aren’t open longer hours. Thank you, Ubetcha Wateca, for giving us a meal to look forward to each time we visit Eagle Butte!

They catered a meal for the South Dakota Native Homeownership Coalition’s housing site-visit to Cheyenne River, and the food was so good! It was like home-cooking at its finest. Yummy! Highly recommend them for catering.

We passed by this place on our roadtrip. Ordered the Galeo Paleo burger (grass fed beef patty, salad, egg, bacon and avocado), and I absolutely LOVED it! Highly recommend!

Have been here many times, some good some bad, a couple of the times I’ve come in they turned me down very rudely, I get having a small business can be overwhelming, it’s just when you’re trying to support one and they treat you negatively, it kind of makes you not to want to go there anymore. Please don’t have the number posted if you don’t answer the phone. The food is good, but small expensive portions. People say they’re patient and friendly but when I go in there it’s always packed and they’re yelling at the cashier from the back, it makes the atmosphere feel negative. My advice is if you’re overwhelmed with all the orders and choose to pick a negative route of dealing with it, then maybe hire more people to help or open for a few days of the week like you used to.

My wife and I stumbled across this place on the way back from a road trip in Wyoming/Western South Dakota. Ordered a burger, chicken sandwich and tater tots. Everything was so so so good but especially the tater tots. They were the most crispy I’ve ever experienced! Come to think of it they were probably crispier than Napoleon Dynamite’s tots, and the sandwich/burger were also great. Fast service and cute inside area as well. Some would say a hidden gem!
