Seems some of the military personnel need to go back in for gun training and get their eyes checked
Moved there in the late 80"'s in love with a guy stationed at Elsworth
This makes number two of the Air & Space museums closed “for renovations, or security”, I give up on government run museums.
It's closed! Don't go!
Always helpful
Great base.
It’s closed for remodeling. It seems no one cares about updating their Google page with the hours. We drove to visit and only got to walk around outside which was cool but would be nice to have known it was closed.
I am greatful that the base is still open, which allows me to use my benefits.
Quite the display outdoors. Well kept grounds with identification and information plaques for each display. Rabbits run among the walkways. Unfortunately, indoor displays are currently closed to the public. This is the reason it did not receive 5 stars.
Best show and noise in western sodak.

This place is too windy and there’s nothing to do
A lot of good people stationed here, but a lot of spouses are mean and will send online hate mobs if you don’t like it here. Never felt welcomed and this just adds to it. Can’t wait to leave.
After confirming I could get on post, I made reservations. After driving from Tennessee, was denied my photo/service connected VA card previously stated was ok. Non refundable deposit, veterans don’t matter. Thank you Ellsworth, I haven’t felt sorry for my service in a while.
I called to inquire about a room at tree pines and was excited to be able to stay. The reception was great and even let me park next to my room where I guess only vip's park??? (No other vehicle is near me and it's 2200). I checked in without a mask and did the entire transaction and actually had more questions about the base because I have never been here. (Not even a look or comment about a mask). Later in the evening I stopped by the "office" where I was told I could find the person to ask questions and I was scolded for not having a mask. I then asked about the offered snack items for sale from affes and was told about small personalized packed bags of popcorn for free on the counter in small zip locked bags. Really? Who did this? Where did they come from? It wasn't from affes because there wasn't any popcorn there. Who is taking care of our kids and making sure they aren't being taken advantage of?
A lot of airmen stationed here in the 70’s-80’s that have good things to say. As someone stationed here in the last 5 years, I must say that the leadership and medical staff are both lazy and incompetent. There is a wait for everything and you have to be seen off base by almost every single thing besides a regular check up and blood work. Every time we’ve gotten blood work, it’s landed us in the emergency room thinking our organs are shutting down or we have cancer. Come to find out the people who work at the lab are just working with 2 brain cells. The leadership are abusive and many airmen have taken their lives while being here, or have ended up hospitalized due to their depression. Leadership does not care about you or your family. They hate their lives and want others to hate theirs, just the same. Happy to be out of here, sad place to work.
