There’s a difference between having low manning and then taking 30 minutes to make a burger because you can’t stop talking to your friends or wandering off somewhere else. This happens all the time by the way and during the busiest time of day. I just spent 3 months in grand forks and holy that dinning facility is amazing.

Ahh the good ol' military dfac, sometimes the food is good at the mainline, its really a 50/50, but if you really want something good you gotta get food from the grill station because it's all cooked fresh right there. Also, the food "from around the world" station is USUALLY pretty good, sometimes can be a miss depending on who's cooking.
But coming from a guy who eats there 3 meals a day, I don't mind it because it saves me time and I get to eat with my pals :)

Best dining facility I've been to. Not that I've been to a lot, but this one is top notch out of the ones I've visited. The food is good, at a great price, and it's very clean. The pizzas are made fresh right in front of you and are amazing.
This was their St. Patrick's day menu. Notice the size on the main dish, this tiny piece of the apple glazed corned beef cost $4 and a 3rd of it was fat.

Facility is great, staff is ok.. (military is great, but the contractors are sometimes ok depending on who you talk to, if they talk to you) the food on the main line could use some improvement. Seems very limited and flavorless, and portions are not very filling. Most of the time it feels like there is nothing in the to go container. Speaking of to go containers, I like the idea of no styrofoam but what is provided does nothing for keeping the food warm, especially during the winter.
