Glad to see they are back up and running. Sunday brunch is a must. Husband let them know it was my birthday and they treated me like a queen. Many food choices, made to order omlettes were amazing. Will be going back

Fantastic place to celebrate events! Enjoying the ribs and Caesar salad and really like the rock wall interior of this historical building. The history is interesting and artwork and relics from its blind school days ad to the charm.

Just enjoyed the french dip and loaded fried special, and it was delicious! The atmosphere is cozy yet classy. I highly recommend the Rock Room!

It is a nice historic building and we went there last year and it was very good I don't know if ownership changed or what but this year was terrible. My buddies ordered the chicken Alfredo. It was a canned chicken with penne pasta in a SOUP of jarred Alfredo sauce. He had to fish for the pasta. I had a taquitos appetizer and it was fried tacos with beans. I asked the Indian gentleman if the order was mixed up and he just said "we don't make them they are processed out of a box" with no apology or other explanation. My "pulled pork" was fresh out of the frozen food section. I do NOT recommend!

Similar to another reviewer, we had a rather unwelcoming encounter with the male manager. We were interested in the history of the building and the historic photos displayed in the tunnel, but he was watching us like a hawk. When we went to use the restrooms he angrily barked at us, “you can’t be here! We have a wedding!” (This was a Thursday night, no wedding in sight. So, explain why we can’t use the restroom?)This place has such potential but the manager’s angry demeanor, unfortunately, is a huge turn off.The female manager (owner?) seemed very kind and welcoming.Pros: love the location, in the old Blind School. Menu is short but interesting, especially in this rural area where it seems like every place serves just burgers and fried food.

Food was good, but selection was small. The server didn't immediately notify us that main course options were dinner only, but they were busy with two 20+ tables of elderly folks.

Very nice restaurant. The menu was a little small but very good food. Will be coming back again.

My family and I came to eat here and went to the bathrooms before we went to take our seats and the manager came over and was so rude to us while we were waiting for our family to finish going to the bathroom before we took our seats. He came up and asked us what we were doing and I told him we were going to use the restroom before we took our seats and I asked him if the tunnels were open to tour (We saw on their website and were very interested in checking them out after our meal.) he looked me up and down, said “no” very angrily, and stormed off. My family and I felt so uncomfortable we decided to just leave and not eat there. Before we left we wanted to make our trip here worthwhile, so we decided to check out the trails and river before we left since they were right on the campground close to where we parked. When we were leaving, the manager followed us out and asked us what we were doing and we told him we were here visiting and walked away to avoid any further issues with him since he seemed like he was in a bad mood. Walking to the river and bridges he then followed us and was pointing at us and counting how many of us there were while he was on the phone, at that point we were sure he was calling the cops on us, but we were doing nothing wrong, so we just kept walking the trails thinking that was the end of it.At the end of the trail, the manager comes up to us AGAIN with a golf cart asking us “when are you going to leave?” Very rudely then told us we are on private property and we need to leave. To avoid any further issues, we just decided checking this place out wasn’t worth the headache and just left. This is upsetting for a few reasons, our uncles were disc golfing at this campground on the same property and area earlier the same day and were not kicked out or even talked to, and on their website they don’t say anywhere that the trails or anything like that is private property. If we would have seen that the tunnels couldn’t be viewed, we wouldn’t be able to hike peacefully, or enjoy a meal without being hounded by the manager we wouldn’t have even bothered.I don’t recommend going somewhere that is ran by someone who is so rude to potential customers, we were going to come with all of our extended family here for dinner, but now none of us will ever go there again. If you want to be treated respectfully and nicely go somewhere else. I will not be giving my money to somewhere that is ran by someone who is so rude to people, that left a horrible taste in my mouth. Do better.

Most disappointing with a high priced steak that was ordered medium, and came to table very, rare. The chicken dish tasted like a plate of Buffalo sauce . And waitress never came back till end of meal, she didn't know how to print a receipt.we were the only customers in dining room on a Friday evening.

Pheasant hunting state land staying at Lac Qui Parle State Park. Stopped for lunch. Unexpected gem! Had personal pizzas that were terrific! Crust was crispy, toppings fresh and substantial. Nice beer selection.
