Great thin crust pizza, sad to see them go from the Chute Rooster location, but we will see where they land next summer.

There was no social distancing here or masks so we took our food to go... A little surprised to see the pulled pork and sandwich just tossed into a pizza box with some wax paper. The food was about 2.5 stars, service was 1 star, we will not go back here.

So, we are in Hill City, SD to participate in the marathon that was being run on October 4, 2020. This was a first visit to South Dakota and one of the only marathons being run in 2020 due to the pandemic. As is usually the custom on the night before a marathon, we try to hit a pasta restaurant. On Saturday October 3, 2020 we had the misfortune of visiting Burnouts. There was a sign on the door that greeted us. It said they are short staffed and new. So be kind or go elsewhere. That was fine with us, as we are laid back and very polite. 2020 has had it's share of awful issues and we understand people being under pressure. This is especially true in the hospitality industry. So many people are out of work, and those that are working are being run into the ground. We get it. Upon entering we were greeted by a Hostess that told us "It will be a long wait". We said that was ok and waited. During our wait we looked around the place and really liked what we saw. The décor was cool and there was an inviting atmosphere all around. We were looking forward to our meal. The service was slow but no big deal. We ordered a pizza and some appetizers. As we waited for the pizza to be cooked this is where the nightmare began to sit in. Our Server, who was a petite lady with tattoos all over was also tending bar. She was gregarious and in charge. However the service was slow because she was hanging out with her fellow coworkers and eating and drinking. No attention given to the tables at all. But here is the kicker. This young lady appeared to be having some sort of dental issue the entire time she was there. She constantly had her hand in her mouth and was tugging and pulling on her teeth. It appeared as if she was conducting full blown dental surgery on herself. It was awful to see. Then it got worse as she finally came over to our table with her very same dirty fingers inserted into our drinking glasses. Nightmare. We wanted to leave but decided to stay because most other places were closed. Our pizza was delivered and it was actually quite tasty. Of course we had no beverage to wash it down. We gobbled down the pizza and wanted to leave asap. But the check took forever because the Dentist/Server was busy eating and drinking with her friends when she wasn't working on her self performed root canal. Never a good time for this type of behavior but this was especially bad because of the Covid 19 situation. Very few masks present in South Dakota. This place is a disaster when it comes to safety protocols. When we finally got the check, the Dentist/Server put up the touch pad to pay the bill - the kind where you add your tip on as they stare at you. As I completed the transaction she asked how things were. I did not want to be labeled a troubled customer and I just wanted to leave. I lied and said ok and got the heck out of dodge. Hopefully she or someone from this restaurant will read this review and rethink their awful safety practices.

Pizza was good. Don't waste youre money on the Italian salad.

The service was... just ok... i wouldn't say it was.. good, the guy at the register couldn't help me and said I had to wait for one of the "girls" and the pizza was not nearly as flavorful as I thought it would be, we had the pizza with Alfredo sauce and chicken and bacon, there was no bacon to be seen, super dry on thin crust and not what was expected based on the description.

Terrible service. Messed up order. Rude people. A lot of disappointed people waiting as well

Food was good but it took 45 minutes to get out pizza to go. I guess everyone is short of help

Been here twice and both times waited over an hour for pizza.dont think this is homemade so really don't know why the long wait.. pizza is good but so is the one at the ExxonMobil.

Good thin crust pizza. They offer a gluten free crust also.

Starting off, the name of the place is confusing as we thought we were eating at the Chute Rooster. Didnt know otherwise until we got the check. Next, I will state that the bourbon bbq sauce was about the best I've had. That's about where it ends however. The wings were tough as leather and tasteless. Pulled pork wasn't much better. Had high-hopes for this place, as it is historic and in a neat building.
