I made sure to plan a stop at Silk Road on our Black Hills vacation over spring break because it looked good online. It was absolutely perfect, the chicken and vegetarian dishes were great, and the lamb was the best I've had... moist and tender. The owners were generous, with a bonus sample of lamb and advice on some ideas to try with my own cooking at home. This place is awesome.

Unique lil joint with outdoor seating only...which helps create a laid back vibe. Then they bring out the food and send your taste buds on rollercoaster of deliciousness! The aloo gobi and daal were OUTSTANDING!!! We own a restaurant ourselves and can easily spot food that has those two special (but often missing) ingredients of heart and soul. This husband and wife couple must be adding heaping tablespoons of each into their food because it is amazing. This is our new favorite restaurant in not only Hot Springs, but in the entire state of South Dakota.Vegetarian options: They offer vegan and vegetarian options

We tried Pakistani food for the first time when they were at "The Space" (not their regular location). It was fantastic food! My wife is not very adventurous when it comes to food, but she can't stop raving about it. I had smoked lamb and my wife had chicken marsala. We will certainly be back next time we're in town!!

If you haven't been to The Silk Road Experience in Hot Springs, South Dakota you are missing some of the best food in this part of the State. Last night's New Year celebration was no exception. The smoked lamb was seriously the best I've ever had. Absolutely perfect. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.Vegetarian options: There are 2 or 3 different choices every week. My wife and I usually get one vegetarian dish and a meat dish then share them. I love the Naan and always get an additional order.

Colorado was quickly behind me.. driving through insane snow trying to get back home to Rapid before midnight! Had to make a pit stop through Hot Springs and knew if I did not eat something soon I was indeed in for major hunger pains! While Rapid has very good restaurants (now I know NOTHING COMPARES TO SILK ROAD.. copycats but not even close!).. admittedly I had been looking for a good excuse to try Silk Road, and tonight all the cards were placed perfectly for me to do so.The owners shared with me that they’ve added a new twist to Chicken Tikka Masala. Smoked BBQ chicken with Tikka Masala sauce thickly poured over all on a large bed of rice. 18 bucks got me enough food for two meals! I’m still trying to figure out how I’ll eat food ever again, and not compare it all to this incredible slice of heaven, hidden and tucked neatly away in Hot Springs. Guarded and protected by the surrounding buildings. Now I know why so many reviews call this place a gem!I will be returning! Totally motivated now to put new winter tires on. No need to make an excuse Google readers! Just go and eat. Even if that’s all you go to do. I was given a sample of their lentil soup and now I must throw out all my soup at home! Savory. Delicious. Just the aroma alone was a candle scent I need!The owners were hilarious, kind, warm, and genuine. Took their time to let me be picky, try samples, had me laughing hysterically as if we were all old friends. They let me know they will have indoor seating throughout winter starting next week!Thanks again for the experience Silk Road! I sat in my car, cranked up the oldies, heater blowing fire and watched the snow fall feeling hugged by my delicious food. Be back soon!

My wife and I tried Silk Roads new Anda(egg) curry soup and my goodness did they go the extra mile! The broth is wonderfully seasoned. It is bright, tangy, and bursting with flavor! This is for sure going to be a winner to keep us South Dakotans warm in the winter!This soup is an absolute must try for any lover of Pakistani cuisine or soup in general! We absolutely love eating at Silk Road because every meal that we have gotten from them is delicious and filled with love! Thank you so much guys!
