Awesome food! Have eaten here quite a few times and got to try the breakfast this morning! The meals were fantastic! 100% recommend! Will is AMAZING! If you don’t go try it, you’re truly missing out!
Fine dining in a small town. This is where you go for an experience that includes incredible food and a wide selection of beer that supports local breweries and flavors that you’ll enjoy. Do not miss stopping in when you’re in Hot Springs.

The Merc, Southern Hills Mercantile & Taproom, is a delightful surprise in South Dakota, offering a fresh and unique dining experience. The restaurant serves high-quality food with a variety of options, including the popular "Yard Bird" (naked for celiac’s). The wine-based margarita is an unexpected treat. The atmosphere is clean and friendly, with a great selection of drinks. The wedge salad with steak tips was incredible—crisp, savory, and beautifully plated—and the chicken Alfredo is flavorful and unexpectedly gourmet. Many customers have enjoyed the fantastic meals, including breakfast, and highly recommend trying the food. While parking can be a challenge, the beautiful facilities and excellent kombucha make it worth the trip. Celiacs need to be careful as food options are limited, but fresh sourdough is available for $8.
