We first came here in 2008. It was rather good, as we returned many times. Two years later, the food was horrible, just like Chelitos in Estes Park, CO. It was very bland and blah. We will see what it is like this summer....

Food is bland! Margaritas are weak. You can't order a shot of tequila in a Mexican Cantina??? Hmmm

Stopped in after our trip to Mt Rushmore with my family of five. The chips and salsa are ok, not fresh and tasted like it came from a bottle. The rice is tasted like Rice-a-Roni and the beans were very dry. I ordered the Maui Maui Tacos as per the waitresses suggestion and the flour shells where stale and the fish was like a fried fish stick cut up in little pieces. The flautas and tortilla soup were super spicey and fried ice cream was sub par. On a high note the guacamole is good if you add salt.

This would be a 2.5 star. For Keystone South Dakota, we weren't expecting much for food, especially Mexican. But this place wasn't bad. I had fish tacos & they were actually pretty tasty. Not bad. The waiter was a friendly guy.

I was a little shocked when the hostess sat me and the told me the wotress would be here in 5 minutes. I thought she was joking, she wasn't but the waitress wa there in about 2. The chips and salsa were great! Big thick warm tortilla chips. I ordered the beef nachos and was shocked to see the cheese was cheese sauce, movie theater style. Such a shame to use fake cheese. Why not melt real cheese? Other than that, not a bad place. Nice patio for a few beers.

While the staff and owners seemed nice enough, the food just doesn't pass muster. I come from Los Angeles where we get good Mexican everywhere, and this pales in comparison to L.A. as well as Taco Bell!
