Mediocre food at best. Menu said some special way of fixing buffalo and was just a very bland dry “hamburger “ at most. Will not return even if in Keystone again.

Our friendly shuttle driver recommended this restaurant for our first visit to Mount Rushmore. As soon as we stepped inside, we felt as if we were transported to the late 1800s with memorabilia reminiscent of the Old West. The Victorian Era dolls and mannequins in period costume on the shelf provided a special touch. The food, however, was left to be desired. The cranberry chicken salad, which my travel companion ordered , was mostly lettuce and dry chicken. The raspberry vinaigrette tasted like raspberry syrup. I ordered the Black Hills trout. It was decent and not salty, but the cheese curds I ordered on the side were a disappointing salt bomb. The server was friendly. We were in a hurry (and my companion is trying not to eat overly sweet food), so we didn’t stay for dessert but wish I could try apple crisp with huckleberry ice cream as redemption.

I had the chicken Alfredo. The sauce& pasta were ok, but the cut chucks of chicken were inedible. Texture was awful & didn't seem to be real chicken. Very disappointing meal. A fly kept bugging us also.

Was wondering why everyone was waiting when it did not seem that busy. Then they seated the two of us at a six person table. Then wife's country fried something came. She didnt eat it. Really cool idea. West saloon
They let us in, even close to closing hours. They have extremely good service and it really showed quality of service from the greeter to waitress 💯
At first, it looked like well decorated restaurant and we didn't really have that high of expectation. When we got the food, buffalo steak and a burger, it didn't look that well presented either 🤔
But the taste and quality of the food itself was very impressive. We had really great time and will definately be visiting again, since we visit keystone pretty often 👍🏻

This place is like stepping back in time. The decor will keep you looking around the room. The service was kind and as quick as they could be. The food was good but a little heavy on the salt. Absolutely stop in and try the apple crisp with Huckleberry ice cream.
