Had stopped here on other road trips, for gas and snacks. Fun little convenience store. Decided to have breakfast inside the cute little old diner portion in the back of the store. Waitress was real nice. Coffee was from a pump that the waitress used to pump into the cup. $2.50 a cup. Wasn’t the worst or the best I’ve had. By the time the add ons were added to the biscuits and gravy it got a little pricey. $21.00 for one plate. Biscuits were a little too soft, gravy was ok. Bacon was crispy and very good. Eggs were cooked good. Waitress was very nice and had very good service.
When I’m on the road transport pets it’s so hard to find good food! Being that my first stop was South Dakota I wasn’t really planning on stopping but BAYBBEEEE IM so glad I did!!!
.
I honestly tore my food up so I don’t have any pictures and wasn’t planning to write a review. It be a shame not to!
I got a classic cheeseburger deluxe and lemme tell you the burgers are hand patted burgers, seasoned well and fullfilling! I got the side of beans (done on the grill) and coleslaw. I told myself I’d eat half and save the other and nope it’s gone!
Also Ben, Anita, the lady who served my dinner (didn’t catch her name) and a gentleman that seemed to be in break were all so kind and helpful! Truly Customer service and felt like I was home away from home!
Thanks Guys!!! If you are considering anything else Think again and come eat at Ditty’s!!!
A 1923 Ford Model T sits in the ceiling and the bartender can tell the story of how it ended up there. The restaurant sits in the back of the convenience store, but the aura is so different that you forget you’re in a gas station once you’re seated. Service is polite and prompt, and the food is pretty good - particularly the potato salad. The prices can add up very quickly however as the menu price only rejects the sandwich. Once you tack on a side and a drink, you’re looking at $20+ per person.
Try the brisket burger, it's very nice
This is the best stop for great food, wonderful service! We will stop by every time we travel on the I 90 from now on!
Don't let the location fool you. Everything we ate was great! I recommend grabbing a bag of Ditty's maple bacon pork rinds from the gas station before heading out. Yum!
Hello, This is HTheHitman. I am known for going around the world and trying different restaurants. Just know that I got your six I will fill you in with the real facts about my experience and with that being said ; If you’re ever passing through Kimball, SD, you have to stop by Ditty’s at 801 S Main St — this place is a true hidden gem. The atmosphere is simple yet elegant, with a nostalgic, old-fashioned charm that makes you feel like you’re right at 20 20 home. The food is amazing I had the smoked brisket sandwich (recommended by the super friendly cashier) and it was absolutely delicious: tender, flavorful, and perfectly smoked. also our waitress, Miss D, was fantastic welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. What really stood out, though, was the community feel. The local and regular customers aren’t just there to eat they greet you, strike up conversations, and truly embrace you like you’re already part of the family. It’s rare to find a place with this kind of heart. If you’re looking for comfort food, real hospitality, and a memorable small-town dining experience, Ditty’s is the spot. Highly recommended
I’m pretty picky with a discerning palate. Don’t judge a book by its cover. The food here is great! I had the hamburger steak. Sorry I already started eating it before I thought to take a picture. Better than mom used to make!

Plenty variety on TV. Gambling, convenience store & gas. Brisket & Chislik was absolutely the best I've tasted in quite some time, Made to order. Kinda hard to find in the dark but well worth it when you do. I don't think their sign was updated since daylight savings maybe. (Its on the west side of the convenience store)
Parking: Large parking for cars and big trucks
Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible to wheelchairs on both sides

The omelet was excellent. The service was great. There is plenty of parking for trucks. There is even free Wi-Fi. I would have given it 5 stars, but it only has one men's commode, and it needed attention. I told the c-store cashier, but they didn't seem interested.
