I would not recommend this place do to the lack of food safety protocols not being done, no foods safety management certificate or even a ServSafe card anywhere in the kitchen area required by health dept. law. Food is left in the same steamer pans several days if not more than a week. Food sits on the line from 11AM to 8PM then to a refrigerator just to go back on the line the next day and the next. She refuses to even use hot water to wash dishes because it uses too much electricity. The 3 sink how to use “by the health dept.” is right over the sink that even tell you to rinse with hot water and she argues it costs too much to run the hot water from the water heater to the sink. She turns off the steamer buffet hours before the end of the night to save on electricity. So your food gets cold, which why she can throw it into the fridge right at 8PM when the doors close. Anyone knows you can’t do that because the fridge will sit for hours at luke warm temps till it has enough time to catch up. She does not have a walk in cooler. So the food you are eating has been at unsafe temps for several hours several times a day sitting in the same pan for many days. Not counting that she will not use the ice from the ice machine for the salad bar. She does us a 1 ½ inch sheet ice that does not touch the bar containers so the cold food is luke warm. She even puts an upside-down plastic tub in the ice machine because “it runs too much”. I no longer support this business and her cheapskate ways of serving you unsafe and potentially dangerous food habits. You are paying premium prices you should at least get safe food.

Melinda makes you feel as if you are a guest in her own home. You can taste her heart and soul in her cooking. Some great bbq. Stumbled upon this place while working in Lennox. Must stop if you are in town or passing through!

The smoked meats are amazing! Always tender, juicy and full of flavor. And many of the sides are made from scratch and very delicious too! I haven't found anything there yet that isn't good. My 7 year old loves it so much that she even offers to use her money to buy it if we can just go there!
