This is hands down the best place to grab breakfast. Pancakes are massively huge and everything has always tasted great!Kid-friendliness: They do have kids menu/portions not on menu but available.

Never been more disappointed with the food here! I never complain, but this is just ridiculous. Check your to-go food before leaving! Burnt hashbrowns, with melted Styrofoam, was not my idea of a good breakfast. I took this meal back and my money was refunded.

This used to be my favorite place for breakfast. Since it has changed owners I have been disappointed. The biscuits and gravy was a staple here and they have changed. I stopped for lunch and had the Roast Beef dinner it was a disappointment, the beef was tough had to cut it with a knife, the potatoes had an instant taste to me. I don't think I will return.

There's absolutely nothing country about the Country Cafe!Way too much black in the decor, black ceiling, black shelves, black tables, black plates and mugs and the lighting is way too bright to compensate for the darkness of everything else.I got a Denver omelett that was raw in the middle and my wife got scrambled eggs and hash browns with toast and bacon.Sent my omlett back and it was still raw in the middle!Her bacon was way undercooked and the hash browns were also way undercooked and raw!We noticed that when the kitchen was serving up the food, they'd slam the plates in the counter.Paid $12+ for a small glass of OJ, three tomatoes, three thin and undercooked bacon slices, four slices of toast, two scrambled eggs and raw hash browns.Not a good experience and we won't return!

For over 30 years on Tuesdays I've ordered steak and eggs in remembrance of Fallen friends. On this particular Tuesday after searching in the rural areas of South Dakota for a restaurant I stumbled upon the country cafe in Madison South Dakota. Steak and eggs I said without hesitation coffee and orange juice if you have it. The same meal I'd ordered on that tragic day. While pleasantly displayed what I ordered was far from a steak an overcooked hamburger patty hard eggs hash browns and toast. I climbed into the old ragtop headed for destinations unknown. A few miles out of town I pulled over sicker to my stomach than I was when I saw Danny fall... Obie,Dave, Billy, James, Mason I pour this one out to you my friends ... fall is in the air time to head south as I wander aimlessly across the continent looking for the answer talk to you again in 300 miles.
Wasn't bad, but wasn't spectacular. Portions were small. Cash only establishment. Had a very wonderful waitress.

This cafe used to be a 5 star place, especially for breakfast. Unfortunately it is under new ownership with a new menu and recipes which are disappointing. I have tried it a couple of times recently, but I don't care for the food anymore.

Delicious! Had the pulled pork sandwich w/potato salad!! Large portions, great flavor and friendly staff!! Also, grabbed a piece of carrot cake to GO!!
