And we tried a bunch of great local coffee places!We will definitely be stopping here again on our way through Mitchell!

Today Hot Shots celebrated 10 years by giving away up to 3 free coffees per person- from 7-10 this morning- incredible service and friendly- A big thank you to them and their generosity to the community- A must stop if traveling through Mitchell.

Really, really good coffee!!!Driving cross-country (Seattle to NYC) and back, we had to hit the Corn Palace (on the way back home). A waitress/manager at a local restaurant (dinner the night before) recommended Hot Shots as hands down the best coffee in town, so we went. (Rarely do the folks we ask (typically motel clerks) have any awareness of local coffee joints, so we took this as a Sign.Service was super-friendly, and our lattes were probably the best of our entire road trip. Great taste, perfect temperature, we wished they could have lasted us the entire day, if not week. Our heartfelt thanks to the women in that tiny booth, who work espresso miracles for those of us lucky enough to drive up to their windows. May their tip jars be full and quiet, stuffed with copious quantities of paper money.

Every drink you can imagine - any flavor, any milk you want (my personal fav is the oat! Although they now carry a local dairy milk) - it will be amazing. Every drink I've gotten deserves an award. Here's mine from from just last week: I decided to try an iced latte with butterscotch and chocolate. Delightful!!! The staff are always so sweet and even during a rush, they are working as fast as they can to get drinks out on time. Please please go to hot shots. It's the best! Lastly, you can ask for a paper menu and keep it in your car, so next time you don't know what to get, you can look over the flavors :) they have so many that I sometimes catch myself looking at the menu mid-week just to think about a flavor I can try next time.
