I am not one to do reviews however I have been to this restaurant about 6 times in the past couple months and thankfully I always get Christina. However many days getting her comes with a lot of apologies…. Not because of her mistakes, because honestly she doesn’t make too many of those ( and when she does she’s honest about it) …. The apologies her tables get are because she is often so busy helping all the other servers run their food and such that she doesn’t believe she gives her tables the attention they deserve. I have NEVER been dissatisfied with her service to be frank she is hands down the best server I have ever had and let’s just say I’ve been trucking a very long time. Today made me do this review. I watched as orders came to the window and christina would deliver them with a smile on her face to whomevers table it was.today I heard her apologize to her tables plenty of times and a couple times I seen her tables food ( including mine) in that window and tye other servers just walked on by. Now she got our food to us with a smile and of course and apology but I just felt bad for her today. She truly is a great example of a team player and yet seems her team doesn’t help her. Anyways I just want everyone to know that should you find yourself at Marlins in Mitchell SD definitely stop in and ask for Christina. You won’t be disappointed even on her super busy days. Best service hands down…. Lunch buffet and food are usually pretty fantastic also.

I was there on labor day. Just so happened to be burger night. $2 off normal price. I recommend the mushroom Swiss. Waitress was nice.
Service seems to be hit or miss. Our service was a miss.
We stopped here on our way to the badlands. It seemed to have decent reviews, especially for a remote-ish location. It seemed promising when we walked in: pies in a little counter, and a hospitable man who seated us. However, as we sat there for about 15 minutes waiting for someone to even just take our drink order or bring some water, with people around us getting served, we decided to walk out. I’ve never had it take so long for our server to even check in for the first time at a restaurant. We obviously didn’t get to try the food, but it looked mediocre at best. To Arby’s we go.

This place was amazing. The food was just downright scrumptious. You could tell everything was homemade handmade. However, you wanna put it completely delicious. The ranch was amazing. The cheese curds were downright phenomenal. The service was top-notch. They were extremely nice and we didn’t have a long wait they hooked us up with Superb pieces of pie. It was not overly greasy but just enough grease I am absolutely stuffed and I can’t wait to come and order here again sometime thank you so much for this amazing meal this place we will talk about to our friends for the rest of our life.

We loved our breakfast. My husband had eggs, ham, and pancakes; I had the breakfast burrito. And the coffee was dark and strong! We were both very happy. The service was fantastic. Food arrived quickly. Couldn’t ask for more.

Breakfast was horrible. Eggs were overcooked and cold the first time and cooked correctly but borderline cold the 2nd time, hashbrowns to closer to leftover fried mashed potatoes rather than hash browns. Service was slow and coffee refills almost nonexistent. It was not very busy so that's not a valid excuse.
ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED. I, hands down, think this is the best restaurant I've ever been to. They have a selection of a buffet OR ordering!! We came, as boy scout troop 127, and the waitress didn't SIGH once after one of them had TWO Cokes, and FOUR waters. Must have been dehydrated! The service was VERY welcoming and polite. These are probably one of the nicest people ever. We're coming up from Iowa, and South Dakota has been awesome so far. The food was delicious, the chicken tender basket is very recommended. THEY GIVE YOU FIVE TENDERS INSTEAD OF THREE LIKE MOST RESTAURANTS! Also, it is a 24/7 restaurant. How do these waitresses maintain patience after that? Anyways, awesome and 10/10 recommend.
Christina is the best waitress ever!!! Go see her in Mitchell, SD!!!
