If you're visiting Mitchell SD to see the famous corn Palace I highly recommend stopping by The Depot for lunch or dinner. The beer battered walleye did not disappoint, there were plenty of beers on tap, and we enjoyed dining on the patio, with a view of the old railroad box cars!

I had a chicken bacon ranch wrap andy husband had a burger. He said it was awesome! The fries were excellent. The only thing that was a bummer for me is they don't have any 7up, Sprite or Starry zero. I don't want all that sugar.

Food is always great. A little spendy. Meal appetizer and a drink will be 30 to 50 bucks a head. But im not afraid to ear a burger cooked to medium here. If you come during dinner rush between 6 and 8 plan to be here for at least an hour and a half. If you catch the zuppa as the soup of the day, get some extra to take home. Best ive ever had.

I got a bit emotional after eating here🥹 we are driving from NYC to Yellowstone, are tired and stopped here just for an ordinary lunch. But “oh my gosh” we got the best burger and chicken strips I ever had! Onion soup- great! And fried potatoes are just another level!! 🚀🥹🥰 highly recommend!
