hubby and I came before adult prom. I had the pattymelt and husband had the cowboy. everything was so good and Ray even came up to chat us up. such a beautiful place and amazing food. definitely curbed our appetite. this will definitely be on our radar from here on out!
Great tasting food and very nice staff!
The restaurant is located in an old bank building, and the decor is very much a 50's diner vibe. We were greeted warmly as we walked in. Food was out in good time and delicious.

We just left the most charming place we've seen so far on our great American West adventure road trip. My husband stopped for gas off of I 90 and when we went looking for a breakfast place we found ourselves at the Montrose caf. what a wonderful find. The food is great, the place is adorable, and we would highly highly highly recommend anyone going there.

I really wanted to give this place five stars for its food, but cannot. This restaurant is charming and the menu is very fun with a lot of interesting flavor combinations. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich and it rocked. It was one of the best pork tenderloin sandwiches I’ve ever had. I had it with the Wilbur sauce, which is their special sauce, and that stuff is amazing. My friend ordered the grown-up grilled sandwich and it was so salty she couldn’t eat it. I tried some of the sandwich and it was off the charts with salt. Even the bread was overly seasoned. It was served with a raspberry chipotle dipping sauce that was soooo good. Too bad about the sandwich. We also ordered the onion petals, and those were also a salt bomb.

We drove in from Sioux Falls for Porter's Sculpture Park and decided to stick around for breakfast. The food here is delicious and reasonably priced. We're going to make it a regular stop! Thank you

We love My Place, from the delicious food, to the warm atmosphere, to the employees and owners. This is our favorite spot, and best priced in the 605. They also have specials on Fridays, which makes it an even better deal feeding the entire family.

Awesome food, great atmosphere. Service was timely and great! Good value for your buck. I have heard they also do senior meals and that they are a hit. The place was clean and neat.Lots of time and thought went into it. The historical building is really cool, too. The folks that were working there were just awesome! The milkshakes were great, too! Wide array of options for desserts. This place is a gem! So glad our friends were kind enough to take us here!

While driving back to Colorado after a midwest visit to family our transmission went out on our tow vehicle. We spent a few days (7) at Lake Vermillion while waiting for the repair (which went fabulous). One of our favorite parts of traveling is getting breakfast at local cafes. Blending in with the South Dakota loaner car I ventured out north bound to Montrose for a to-go order of the classic 2 eggs, hash browns and toast. Everything was cooked perfect and really tasty. A few days later we again ordered a to-go for dinner. I had the goulash and Jenna the tuna melt. Though the goulash didn't have the elbow macaroni and instead a penne, it was easily one of the best meals we both enjoyed on our lengthy road trip. With 4 dogs and a cat in tow our typical meal is carry out while on the road. Its challenging to sit down for a meal any more...Thanks My Place for adding to our great experience in the region.
