This is an old fashioned donut stop with the old diner bar setup. It's a basic setup but worth the stop. The locals at our end of the bar were as welcoming, engaging and friendly as the staff. The donuts were amazing! We had our first order and then ordered extras for the next day.
I started going to Ralph's while a student at Tennessee Tech many years ago and still make a point to stop in whenever I pass through Cookeville. As many others have said, the doughnuts are delicious and the employees are friendly. Some of my favorites are the red velvet, sour cream, ladyfingers (amazing but not really a doughnut!) and the seasonal pumpkin spice. I do wish they would label the doughnuts. It would be helpful both to customers and employees. Already looking...
Although I live in Michigan, I have visited Ralph's Donut shop for over 60 years. Every time I'm even close to Tennessee, I make my way there. I had traveled all over the country and I truly believe they are the best donuts in the USA.
