This old hotel includes a bar with a couple of pool tables and arcade games and comfortable seating. The hotel is now used for business offices and also residences. It has a great atmosphere with friendly staff. The hotel is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, in Pierre. The beer was cold, and the free popcorn was delicious.
We stopped into St. Charles Lounge, it was awesome. Want to give a special shout out to Sophie, our bartender. She did not just make drinks, she crafted them...and crafted them well! She took the time to make them properly yet was very fast at doing it. I have been working in the Bar/Restaurant business for over 40 years and Sophie impressed me. The atmosphere and vibe of the bar was very relaxing, warm, and welcoming. I give kudos to Sophie, and the bar.....had a wonderful experience....!!!
This is truly the only bar I enjoy going to! It’s safe, quiet, and the bartenders are always kind. Sophie & Nate are my favorite! The selection of wine and liquor is great. It’s so nice you don’t have to yell to talk to your friends!
