We always love going to Zestos. Every ice cream creation we've had has been DELICIOUS! The food is great too. The cheeseballs are some of the best I've ever had!

Make sure you have your flu shot if you’re stopping by today! There is a child walking around inside coughing everywhere.

We were in the area hunting and decided for the full experience after having steaks would be to swing by for some ice cream. An excellent choice of course - vary flavorful. Used to live in Pierre in the late 80s/early 90s and would bring the family down here. Still looks the same and as tasty as ever!

This old school ice cream drive up was popular so expect to wait in line. There were so many choices and they all looked good. Portions are a little bigger than normal but also really tasty.

Best ice cream dishes in Central SD!

I make it a point to hit the Zesto whenever I'm in Pierre in the summer. I'm wondering when it first opened? One of my earliest childhood memories is walking to the Zesto for a 5 cent cone; and that would have been about 1952.

Hometown Ice Cream stop. I missed Zesto's so much! I usually get a chocolate twist cone with Twinkles in a Cup!

Zesto's is practically a landmark in Pierre. Gov. Noem touts it frequently and it is located very close to the capitol. It is essentially a soft-serve ice cream shop, though they do shakes, too. It is a walk-up shop--there is no indoor seating and no designated outdoor seating although there are some curbs and maybe a few benches in the area. Service is prompt and prices are reasonable.

You cannot go wrong with anything from this place. Flavor of the days are always interesting and delicious.

Dinner in Pierre is not complete unless you stop by Zesto. The flavor of the day is posted in a calendar on the front window and on Facebook. Peach Cobbler in July can't be beat. Love the 'cone in a cup' twist. Doesn't melt all over you. All flavors are good.

It was just as good now as it was 20 years ago when I was a teenager. My teens now think it's the best in Central South Dakota.
