Excellent ice cream with many flavor options. Food has always been good, but since they have switched the fryers to beef tallow the fried options have been excellent (especially the fries).
Service is fast, but the food isn't sitting in a warmer so expect to wait a few, reasonable minutes for your meal. Usually the staff are friendly, but since it is the same small pool of people working, you can tell if it is or has been a stressful day. They put focus on the product and service time ahead of banter/customer relations, but when I think about it, I prefer it this way.
Within the last couple of years the interior has been modestly updated, and it was a nice improvement. It's not flashy, but it's nice and you can dine-in comfortably, drive-up, or take out.

Stopped in today for an ice cream cone with my family and the young man taking our order was rubbing his nose and took our cash and went straight to make our cones. I kindly asked him to wash his hands first, which he turned and gave me a look. As he was walking back to wash his hands he was laughing and smiling. On his way back up front he told a coworker I asked him to wash his hands and was snickering. Came back and made our cones. Disappointing and very unsanitary to take money and then touch food that your customers eat. Not impressed.

A bit spendy for a burger, but good service, fresh and hot off the grill. Good sides to select from for the meal deal. My husband ordered the Bing Boomerang and I had the Reeses Explosion. Both were delicious! Women's bathroom was clean.

No smiles in drive through order. Lady was scarey! Did say thankyou!
When going through we love to enjoy some of Boom's great potato salad and delicious beans with either chicken or a good booms burger! Of course can't leave with out having some ice cream too!!!

Went by and the owner was great! She helped with all questions. Very busy but food was good. Love the small town feel!

They purposely ignored our calls when we tried to call in an order so we walked in to order and thought the number just wasn’t working so while waiting for our order we decided to try and call again to see if we heard their phone ring and it DID ring but the supervisor yelled at the worker before he could answer the call “NO! If they wanna eat here they can order at the drive through!” They were incredibly rude. Very poor service. Platte Booms ??
