I placed an online order through the A&W app for the Spearfish, SD location on Halloween, only to arrive and find the restaurant closed—with a sign on the door stating they had shut down hours earlier. Despite this, the app still allowed me to place and pay for my order. I never received my food and had to contact A&W separately to request a refund, as the store couldn’t process it.
It’s incredibly disappointing that online ordering remained open when the restaurant was clearly closed. This was an unnecessary inconvenience and a poor reflection on how this location manages its customers. I truly hope A&W addresses this issue so no one else ends up paying for food they can’t pick up.

Ordered sat and waited 15 mins while food sat in the heating tray people ordered after me where all getting there drinks food still sitting there two girls visiting I paid and had to leave before I got my food all I ordered was cheese curds won't be back absoultue crap so I'm out the 4.17 cent keep it you will need it when you go under for poor service

For an A&W in a Walmart, the food is always good. Try to stop here when visiting the hills. Jonathan and Connie are super friendly, makes for a really good experience.

Mixed feelings about this place.
First time I went I got the chicken tender meal which was oily and had a chemical smell.
2nd time I went the place was full of flies, nasty full garbage cans, you couldn’t sit and eat there. Girl cashier was nervous and so quiet I had to ask her to speak up. My fries were super salty.
It’s a bunch of kids running this place. Where are the adults or the manager ?

We went in and grabbed a freeze after shopping. The front end employee was obviously not wanting to help and verbally moaned and sighed at us when we ordered the drinks, grabbed an order number holder and slammed it on the counter and pushed it over to us. I think she needs someone to check on her because she looked visually depressed, we tried to tell her we hope things improve in her life and to have a good day but she just rolled her eyes and walked away. Sad experience.

Was there yesterday an a young man had his meal hotdog andone of works took his hotdog and throw it away in the trash the young bman said why did u throw my hotdog away its disrespectful u did that the worker just stood there like he did not care wow I felt bad for him

So excited to find an A and W restaurant in the Supercenter. My favorite soda, made in store. With real cane sugar, yum. Enjoyed the fresh onion rings too. TY.

I am in from out of town so I relied on Google to show me the store hours. Which shoed they close at 10:00. We went in about 9:15 and was advised they they closed at 9:00. I would love to give a big fat 0 stars, but Hoogle would not allow.

A&W never disappoints! Their classic root beer is always perfectly cold and refreshing, and the burgers are consistently delicious. Huge thanks to John for providing outstanding service! His friendly attitude and attention to detail made my visit extra enjoyable. It’s always great to see employees who truly care about their customers. Keep up the awesome work, John!
