After viewing the entrees on Facebook thought we'd give it a go. Arrived for an early dinner about 4:30, only 1 other table was occupied.
I ordered a med rare house burger and my wife had some pork chop dish.
Waited quite long for dinner to arrive considering the place was empty.
First bite of the burger was well done and dry, the pork chops were so overcooked and dry rendering them inedible.
Shocking to us that chef Mike would let this crap out of the kitchen.
Cross this place off your list.

Food so good we ate here twice over the weekend. This place is a hidden gem for sure! Took home pastries as well, and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend!!

Berlin is an unexpected dining pleasure,m. It serves superb German food, with sauerkraut that my wife swore tasted just like her mother’s version. She had that with a porkchop accompanied with pickled cabbage and home fries, with onion/mushroom (Jaeger) gravy. I had a weirdly superb combination of a deep fried sausage and tomato curry. Wow. I’ve never had anything like it;, in the very est way possible.

I’ll admit that of the restaurant is awkward to get to, its outside looks funky, the parking is problematic, and the interior decor of black with pink neon seems more suitable for a hipster scene out of Berlin 1992 than Spearfish…which I guess is the point.

But the food was outstanding!!! Don’t miss this hidden gem. Five stars.

After a vacation last year in Germany, we had pretty high standards for the food. They definitely met those standards! The wurst appetizer and side of red cabbage (delicious) were plenty for a meal. Everything down to the house made mustard was delicious. Jager was a large plate and equally as good. Didn’t love the atmosphere - the dark with harsh lights was a little much. But we’ll make it a must stop when we’re in Spearfish regardless!

Food is okay. Service - nothing exceptional. Not child friendly - if you need a high chair; don’t bother. Walked in with our one year old - who clearly would sit in a high chair. Was seated with no mention that they don’t have them… waitress took our order, I asked for a high chair, and she says they don’t have them and her solution was a table chair… Not impressed.

The food was 10/10, as was atmosphere! Was amazed at the authenticity. Hope to see this place around on my next trip to the area.

We had the currywurst and burger flight and both were excellent! Great flavors, good German beer on tap, and a fun, welcoming vibe. Berlin is a must-visit in Spearfish for unique food and atmosphere.
