The best coffee shop in Spearfish! The pumpkin spice was one of the best I’ve ever had! We enjoyed meeting Ruby and talking about bikes and our husbands in the Dakota 5-0 and the whole family enjoyed the bakery goodies! We will be back every trip to Spearfish!

Family run business with super friendly staff. Great coffee and delicious pastries. Nice atmosphere. I wish we had been able to stop here more than once during our trip through the Black Hills. Will definitely be back the next time we are in Spearfish. Highly recommend.

My daughter is going to BHSU to play soccer so stopped by this place. I am a retailer so I get the business and here my thoughts: Nice atmosphere, family run and damn good food and coffee. This is a gem for Spearfish and will be back to patronage this place. Prices are fair and knowing it supports a family that works the counter to the back makes me want to pay double. I watched from a distance their customer interactions and they know everyone, they laugh and they care. It shows they love doing what they do. 5 stars, would give 6 if that was an option. Well done, Ruby's Roost.

We stopped by Ruby’s Roost for an early morning espresso before heading out to explore Spearfish while visiting the city. What made our visit to this coffee shop a 10 out of 10 was the customer service. The owner, Bob not only made our espresso drinks he also engaged us in conversation and gave us the best spots to visit in Spearfish canyon and the surrounding areas. He was so outgoing, energetic and charismatic to his customers that we could see people flocking in just to visit him to start off their day on a great note! This is a family run business, Linnéa, Bob’s wife makes all of the delicious caramel rolls and pastries from scratch daily, their daughter greeted us warmly with a welcoming smile while efficiently taking our order. Such a beautiful smiling family offering hospitality and a scrumptious way to start your morning. We wish them well and highly recommend this shop!
This place is amazing, these people are amazing, brew a PERFECT cup of coffee and are wonderful servers. Wow, talk about refreshing. The Babka was to die for. I am moving to Spearfish just to drink your coffee everyday. YOU PEOPLE ARE FANTASTIC!
