Driving from Alaska to Texas and we stumbled upon 281 diner and we were very impressed! The owners were very friendly, the food and property were fantastic! Everything was clean, and the food was freshly prepared! We loved everything we had! If you are in the area, it’s a wonderful place to stop! Wide variety on the menu also!
We had the joy of meeting Polly and her husband after a long days travels. They made us some delicious burgers, fries and sweet potato fries and what diner has a campground and a pool in their backyard. We loved it here!!!
Stopped in here a year ago and had some great food and conversation. Stopped in tonight and the quality has went down - guessing new management as it was for sale last year. Canned mushrooms on the mushroom Swiss burger, buns were not fresh. Malt was runny and appeared to be made with powder milk. Not the same as before. So sorry.
