Why’s does everything taste the same. Place has gone down hill in the past few years
They catered our company's quarterly meeting last week. The food was excellent and arrived hot. Everyone ate to their fill and we had leftovers! All communication was great and details covered. Excellent service, food and experience.

We went to J.R.'s to check out the food last weekend to see if it was something we'd want to order for Thanksgiving. We met J.R. and chatted with him a bit, then sat down to eat. The food we ordered was great! I had the brisket and my wife had the prime rib sandwich. But then J.R. stopped by the table with some complimentary pork ribs and they fantastic! By far my favorite thing I ste that day. And that's saying something. We will definitely be back for more. Thanks J.R.!

Went to visit our son in Rapid city, and with it also being my husband's 55 birthday we were on the hunt for a really good BBQ place. Well... we found it. We'll difinately be back in the future. Great food and great service!

I visit the Black Hills every year, and every time I'm there, I visit the Rhodehouse. Their food is amazing -- Every. Single. Time. Most recently, I enjoyed their mouthwatering belly bites, which were fantastic! I also love the hot links, but their brisket is hands down my favorite! I can't recommend them enough, and stopping there is one of the highlights of my annual trip -- a 500-mile drive.

We had JR’s Rhodehouse cater for our daughter’s wedding and the food was amazing!! We had so many compliments on how good the meat was. The staff that assisted were super friendly. I would highly recommend them if you want BBQ for any event!!

The baked beans are too Smokey, tasted like put a lot of liquid smoke in it. Couldn’t even eat it. Bought some for our Bible study and they thought it was too Smokey also and spicey. Our brisket and pulled pork sandwiches were good. Won’t be going back though.

Visiting some friends for the weekend and they had to bring me to their favorite spot. I’m in town from Texas and have obviously had some good BBQ, but I can confidently say JR’s was a great overall experience especially the delicious brisket sandwich and the green chili mac n cheese. Employees were very nice and welcoming too. Highly recommend this place!!!

The brisket they gave me was hard as a rock and broke off in harder chunks. I told my husband to take it back but he didn't wanna make a scene. The cost for quality was horrid. I'm from north Texas, this might have just been an off day, but this did not taste anywhere near as good as the high praise reviews I've read here. What a shame
The Mac n cheese and pork ribs were good though. Not amazing, but good. Beans had a strange strong flavor, husband liked em though. Hot links were just alright, 'warm links' more like.
Interesting to try, not coming back.

Called late on the night before with a catering order for approx. 20 people. We ended up changing the order a couple of times and they were amazing through our changes. Picked up the order the next morning and had many hands to help carry the food to my car. The food was so good, all employees were raving. My favorite if I had to pick was the Mac and cheese. Thank you again for making the employee lunch successful!

I'm not a vinegary sauce person but it wasn't enough to give them a 4. I wish they had a lean/moist choice on the brisket. All I needed was some Sweet Baby Ray's 😂. Turkey was really good too!
