Bradyn is an amazing bartender. We got a drink wasn't very good so he remade it the way that was better. He is very good with customers and it is the best bar I've even been to!!! 10 out of 10 recommend! Come here and ask for Bradyn! He deserves a raise. If you're his boss and you see this give him a raise!

Not the Char Bar of the late 1970s. It's a dive. No cocktail menu, no table service. They have pizza, but there were no menus. A very loud video game in the back was annoying. Bartender was not well trained. Call Bar Rescue!

The Char Bar is an institution in Vermillion that should not be underestimated. Great owners that are a lot of fun and a good time with friends at a reasonable cost. Not fancy and that's the way everyone likes it.

Overall, this is the bar to go. Whether you're looking to just go out and have a few drinks, or watching a game, to playing pool, and dancing. This bar has it. It is pretty cheap. Wednesday is the best time to go. $13 and you drink all you want, except top shelf.

Good spot for out of towners looking to relive their glory days but you'd never know it because they have no marketing or advertising campgain. Also, there are no paper towels or hand dryers in the men's bathroom, they have no onboarding/training program for new employees, and DJ Chris needs some help with his line up... But the drinks are cheap and the bar staff is friendly - would go again!

Prices r only thing good. Only been in 1 time. Dirty and dirty bathrooms. Didn't want to touch anything. Needs a good cleaning. Makes me think of a biker bar without the bikers.
Place is a living STD. It is a hot spot in town, but the carpeted floors are sticky and the place is nasty. That's why the keep it so dark in there. That or so you don't see what you are trying to hook up with on the dance floor.

Charcoal Lounge AKA "the Char Bar" is downtown Vermillion's token college dance bar... The venue is large with a dance floor and an expansive bar. On the weekends, expect large crowds, loud DJs, and probably some after bar shenanigans.
