I can't rate this place high enough. Their bread won a national challenge by Oprah Winfrey, and you will see why. Their Focacia bread is absolutely amazing, and their other ones are great too. They are located inside Ace Hardware, but don't let that fool you. Guaranteed you won't regret your visit! I love the Big Smith sandwich!!Parking: This place is located inside Ace Hardware.

Amazing homemade soups and sandwiches! Don’t forget a baguette to go (if they have any left in stock)! Service can be a little slow because they’re always busy, but the wait is worth it and just means it’s the best place in town!

Normally thos place has rock star quality with sandwichesand breakfast, but lately the service and food has gone down hill. There are always selections missing from the pop machine or there is never any ice. Weekend menu has changed to where you can't order off the menu except for breakfast sandwiches or burritos. If you do come in before serving breakfast sandwiches, the quality of the food suffers. If you are looking for a place to get a good breakfast, head to Yankton or Sioux City and skip this place
The worst experience ever. The kids in behind the counter had earbuds in. Made my sandwich completely wrong, hot instead of cold, wrong bread and had cheese on it when I said none. They remade it. Again, wrong bread, wheat not white like I asked, I asked for my money back, the guy gave me $10-10 back, my sandwich was $8-49. I brought this to his attention, he said what???? He had earbuds in and couldn't hear me he said. How stupid of him to have earbuds in when customers are trying to talk to him. No such thing as sorry, or I'll try again, nothing. I will never go back there.

Breakfast burrito with all the fixings. Very good and the side of salsa was perfect. Two thumbs up to Carl for his efficient service and attention to detail while working with a short staff. Highly recommend the burrito but was told the breakfast sandwich is next level so will do that next time.

Did an online search for a group of 11 to eat breakfast as the 1st place we went to couldn't seat that many at the time. Found Mister Smith's and it's INSIDE an Ace Hardware store of all places. We thought okay, this will just have to do because we were hungry. We got there late (10:30am) so at that time they only have a limited breakfast menu as they are trying to switch over to lunch items. We ordered the breakfast burrito and it was AMAZING! Had bacon, sausage, ham, potatoes and eggs on a HUGE flour tortilla. It literally is big enough for two people. Very reasonably priced too! Go get you some!

Yes, it's a restaurant inside an Ace Hardware- never expected that! You grab an order slip at the counter before you go up to order. Mark what you'd like and then go pay! Then they make your food to order. You can see them prepping it behind the counter. It did take longer than I anticipated, but the food was good. I also picked up some apple turnovers to bring home!
