I needed a solo retreat to focus on some R&R and concentrate on some work without any distractions from other responsibilities. Valiant Vineyards was a suggestion. it was PERFECT! I was able to get soooooo much done in a GORGEOUS atmosphere. The staff was incredible!!! The breakfast was out of this world! The rooms were comfortable!! And I can't wait to do it again. I've never done anything like this before and I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

Did a random search for a place to stay in Vermillion and the Valiant Winery came up. I was intrigued and am thrilled by the result. While the winery is closed on Monday, they graciously offered to host my husband and myself in the B&B. The room was large, comfortable and homey with wonderful bedding and all the amenities needed. The breakfast was outstanding being homemade. We ended up buying several bottles of wine and my husband found his new favorite whiskey. The staff is welcoming and super friendly. Highly recommend this place!

This is a hidden gem that is right out of a hallmark movie. Some of the reviews say it’s decorated like Grandmas but that adds all the charm to it. The rooms are themed and decorated accordingly. Customer service was excellent-they even remembered us when we returned for a second stay. Not to mention the full on home cooked breakfast and warm cinnamon muffin in the morning. Can’t get that at your Holiday Inn. Wine was great as was their sherry and bourbon. We were there in the winter so the outside wasn’t an option but will definitely be back to enjoy the patio and view.Rooms: Quaint, clean and comfortableFood & drinks: The free breakfast in the morning was excellent. Hot, cooked specifically for us and all the coffee, water and juice you wanted.

Given the option, this would be 2.5 stars. The positives: very kind bartender, good tasting bloody mary, good lager, good sample of wine slushy, clean bathroom, clean main seating area. The not-so positives: we felt like it had a nursing home vibe (mauve paint, oak trim, older tile floor to match), cafeteria lighting, grandma's table and chair sets with plenty of room for wheelchairs to pass. Just bland...a cross between that and a Motel 6. Bummed we took the extra time to jump over to South Dakota for this one place on our way home to Omaha. They're marketing is way better than the actual place. Zzzzzz....

This place is off the beaten path so it is nice and quite. The rooms are plenty big. The beds were very comfy. There was a couple of down falls. The shower head was very low even for me who is 5'4 but my hubby is 6'4 so it was very short for him. There was also a sewer smell in the elevator that carried up to the floor with the rooms. We slept with a window open and the heat on just to get a fresh smell into our room.Breakfast was AMAZING and fresh. We did wine tasting the night before and the wine is very good. Not much for food options but being in a town there was plenty of other places to pick.

We were on a search for cooler weather and a break form the heat and decided to take a road trip north and the weather was perfect and so was the location. We were greeted by the owner as we entered the building and he gave us the rundown on the location. We were then assisted at the bar and I love how they used an antique bar in the location. We tried several wines and decided on a glass of the Tickled Pink with a nice touch of a Strawberry on top. We also ordered the Charcuterie Board and it was delivered as we sat on the patio and listened to the rain on the steel roof and enjoyed the views and the wonderful weather! When we were ready to leave we purchased some wines and a bottle of Brandy. We are looking forward to come back for a night at the bed and Breakfast and to explore the area.

We stopped by Valiant for a tasting and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and speedy service. The facility is really nice and clean. I understand they operate a B&B as well. They have a small gift shop area inside with some take home decor and food/wine items. They offer two flavors of wine slush which I look forward to preparing when we get home. The wine itself was average. South Dakota is not known for its wine production, so I did not expect much. I found the wines to lack complexity, but we still enjoyed our visit. The 20 year old port was definitely worth a try though!

Valiant Vineyards is simply the best! The staff! A++, All the way, and hands down! And Adrianne! WOW! The only thing I have to say ……. is they need to find a way to bottle her! It will be their most EXPENSIVE bottle! And served in all the exclusive restaurants world wide! My most sincere Thank You!!! Her, and the rest of the staff are phenomenal! Highly Recommend!!!!!!
