Service was terrible. Took about 10 minutes to even get menus and water. Order our food and then waited 25 minutes with no food. Waitress came our and said it would be 8-10 minutes for fries and then came back 15 minutes after that and said it would be another 5-10 minutes. We left at that point with 2 kids starving.

I got the chicken fried steak and when it was brought out I was then told they didn’t have brown gravy, what they did top it off with smelled like vomit. I couldn’t eat at all. My daughter could smell it across the table and lost her appetite. It was a total waste of money. This place looks like it is going under by the second. With all the people everywhere if you are not busy in this town there s a reason. I handle horrible service or even horrible food but to have both no thanks. Don’t waste your time here go to badlands saloon just down the sidewalk for the best food and service in the whole area.

I don’t usually write many reviews but this had to be the worst customer service that never even started. My husband and I stopped in the cafe for breakfast with another couple and we were never greeted. There was another group of 3 having breakfast and no other customers.. the waitress was in the back of room sitting in a booth she went to the customers that were eating about three times and never acknowledged our group at all not even a Hello. We had been waiting about 10 minutes and I was ready to walk out the first few times we gave it about 5 minutes more and left. If you don’t want to work or have staffing issues just close the cafe.

The service was sub psr. As we sat down a group of 8 we're complaining about the food. We ordered fish and chips. The fish were fish sticks even though they said it was not. The hamburger was mostly onions. They had a very small selection of sauces with the chicken strips.It seems they are just beginning the business, and have not figured their business model yet. The worker was kind. As we were eating a family of 9 saw our food and left. It took some time for them to clean a table after someone left. I would suggest another location or a starvation diet over this location.

As mentioned by others, I wish we would have read the reviews first.Giving it two stars because our waitress was very kind and apologetic - it was her first day on the job, with no other staff to help out.

This place might as well close. First off out of a drink then my hubby ordered a steak and were told they were out. So 3 of us ordered fish only for them to come back and tell us 10 minutes later then only had 1 order of fish. The can pop cooler needed to be cleaned as you could barely tell what was in there. Nasty and smelled like a greasy spoon.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. The food was awful. Basically over-priced little league ballpark concession stand food. Our meal for 4 people (hamburgers and chicken tenders) was over $70. The hamburger patties were rubber and the fries were frozen fries cooked in old grease. The condiments were fast food packets and the drinks were canned sodas. The cafe was nasty. There was an old sink sitting in the corner in the dining area! While there were very few customers in the cafe, the wait for service was long and we were made to feel like we were asking for too much when we asked for condiments for our plain dried out burgers . Don’t make the same mistake we did thinking you can beat the crowds at Wall Drug by eating here. Standing in line is worth it compared to the sub-par over-priced food options at this cafe.

HORRIBLE If we would of seen what we seen before we had ordered we would of got up and left. The waitress was cleaning tables off with a dry napkin, no dish rag no water. My husband ordered a buffalo burger I ordered a cheese burger when she brought them out she had no ideal which was which either way they were absolutely nasty.
Food was mediocre at best and it was definitely different than every other restaurant. We were told to sit wherever we want and the menu's were odd. Mine had a burnt hole through it and my mothers wasn't laminated like the others were. The drinks came in cans and the food was overpriced. My food was like something I'd warm up in my microwave for myself. Overall, it wasn't bad per say but it wasn't good either.

Visited June 2021. I'm surprised at the reviews honestly. The bartender we had, she was awesome. I didn't consider the place to be a "dump". It had that feeling of being at home. Where I grew up and the bars I went to...that made it feel like home to me. Price wise for the drinks we ordered. Comparable to other places I'd been.

Wow. Overpriced to say the least. French toast wasn't cooked in the middle. No soda machine, they gave us a can of Pepsi. Dirty AF. How does this place pass food inspections???? The service was, in my experience, somewhat better than your standard pandemic-level service. The waiter was actually pleasant. We expected slow service but weren't at all put out by it because we were not in any kind of rush and understand the reality of service in our new normal. We would have been very happy with slow, courteous service and decent food (let's face it, it's Wall, SD).The one star is because of the food. It was absolutely - awful. We had the buffalo burger. It looked like a frozen lunch room patty and tasted worse. We came only because it was the only place in town that allowed us to sit with our dog. We honestly wished that we had eaten one of those gas station hot dogs that the gas station attendants use to clean the toilets. The burgers were that bad. My wife's first comment after leaving was that it was the worst food that she's ever ate in this country (she's been here for five years and has traveled all over the US and the world).Basically, don't go here. If your kids are hungry, there is no shortage of buffalo chips in Badlands, NP. They'll probably taste better.
