Fabulous food, especially the beef (local raised). Service was slow as there was only one server in a busy restaurant (@ 1pm).

They seated a guy at a table for 4 when a table for two was available; the refused to let my party of three sit at the only one table which was for set up for six. We were forced to take a booth in the bar; none of the people in my party drink alcohol. The staff in the bar were more interested in talking to the drinkers than taking our order. My first 3 choices from the menu they did not have, broasted chicken, cod fish and beef tips. This was a Sunday afternoon. The potato bacon soup was good, but the wings were overcooked and nearly cold by the time bar guy stopped talking and picked them up from the kitchen serving window. When paying the bill my wife was standing in line behind a couple that were in the restaurant side and they were telling the cashier about the terrible service. After standing in line to pay for over 5 minutes we were told we had to pay in the bar because that is where we ate. Avoid, avoid, avoid; get a subway sandwich and some soup.

Came in at 7 pm and salad bar was completely depleted. Got the New York strip. Same as ponderosa as a kid. Mediocre at best. Baked potato was small and overcooked. Skin charred and potato was dry. Came with a tube packet of sour cream. Place was really dilapidated. Would not eat here again. Service was poor. She sent us to salad bar but no utensils? We sat and waited and waited. No cleanup between courses. Just served food and came back at end to give you check

Our best meal while in Wall. I had the broasted chicken, cowboy beans, and sweet potato fries. My husband had a hamburger steak with fries and coleslaw. Everything was soooo good! Our server was an exchange student and was very personable. We enjoyed talking with him.

Not sure why this place has so many good reviews. We decided on this place because of the reviews and the local shop recommendations. The salad bar (you can only call it that due to their being lettuce, and a few toppings that are layer out underneath sneeze guards) was empty aside from the finely chopped, partially brown iceberg lettuce. There were about 5 toppings and the only one that was abundant and tasty were the pickled beets. Those were one of the only things I enjoyed here.
My husband said his burger was ok, but he ordered beans and got fries (which he doesn’t eat). I ordered the fish and chips, the fish was so full of oil I was using my napkin to soak up the oil prior to tasting. The batter was thick, flavorless and so grainy. I tried to pull the breading off to eat the fish and the layers of batter wouldn’t come off. The layer next to the fish wasn’t even cooked. The sourdough bread roll on my plate was yummy!
They didn’t mind our dog on the outside patio and even brought him a bowl of water. The only saving grace for this place.
Moving from GA to WA and im sad that we wasted our time to eat here as our only sit down meal on our journey!
Maybe it was an off night, but a little salt and pepper in your batter will go a long way!

We visited this restaurant while passing through SD. The location and inside was nice. Our family each ordered something different and we weren’t totally disappointed in the food but it is bar food so what did we expect. Next time I might pass on the pizza! Wasn’t horrible but wasn’t the best. The French fries were amazing though!! If you have kids who are go go go, this place definitely isn’t the place to go out to eat. It was a good place to stop for a quick bite to eat otherwise though!

Food was great! But the service was to slow. We waited 10 minutes and were about to leave when she asked us what we wanted to eat, but had asked about ordering our drinks.

Pass on the cheese curds. They are from a frozen bag.
Odd ambiance, with no background music playing

Stopped by and found they had 4 chicken legs, garlic bread and side as a Special. I really like chicken legs, and find it hard to just have an order of legs, they were nice and crunchy outside and moist inside. As a side I had the Cowboy Beans, and they were really good. Our waiter was very friendly, we were fortunate to hit the place when it wasn't busy. Would definitely return when we're in the area.
