Didn't expect the high quality of food atmosphere and service in such a small town. Made the stop in Wall worth it. Definitely recommend the Salty

It's good, but not extraordinary, especially for the for the high prices.
We came in to have the prime rib because we heard it was good. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint!! Wow, it was huge and was full of great flavor. Great job!!!

Food: My recommendation “Steak Pasta”, an excellent combination of salad with chocolate as a starter, a true delight to the palate, and as a main course a small juicy cut, prepared to taste, on a bed of pasta in cream, mushrooms and pepper, a delight.
You can't miss some delicious fries, and their tremendous ketchup.
Service: It is always pleasant to be received and attended to from start to finish with a pleasant smile and excellent treatment, it is clear that they enjoy doing it, 100% recommended.
Atmosphere: whether you go alone, accompanied, with family or friends you will have a very comfortable time.

We are here before leaving Wall, SD. Their restaurant is very clean and it’s in a large building. One thing I noticed right away were their fries. They are labeled as a steak fry but remind me of a mix steak fry and a potato chip. They crunch in your mouth but some of them have body to them like a steak fry, they are unique to that restaurant.
Their burgers are cooked exactly like they are listed, medium unless you ask for something else. They are great, were juicy and tasted good. Not 100% sure I was a fan of the jam substance on my bacon steer burger but everyone else loved their food. I am our have to try the jam again to make a verdict. Otherwise we loved the food and would try it again.

If you ever visit the small town of Wall South Dakota make sure you visit the Salty Steer. The interior is clean and very smart. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I had the best wedge salad I have ever eaten. And I have tried a lot of wedge salads. The portions were very generous. Definitely worth stopping!

Got take out dinner . Order wasn't right . But we made do . Didn't want to turn around and go all the way back. I got a prime rib . And it was over 50 % fat . Our salad's had no dressings with them
I ordered Mac and cheese. Got carrots and brussel sprouts. We had no breads . I was really shocked because we were told about this place by 2 different people. I wouldn't recommend it .

We were served a cold burger and the staff was not attentive, it took 10-15 minutes to get there attention. They also never offered a new drink after I finished mine. The food was over priced for what it was.

I had high hopes for this place however my experience was just not good. We got our food at different times (40 minutes apart to be exact) and both times it was lukewarm. Husband got the prime rib dipper which came with a fully intact 5 inch bone buried in the sandwich. My steak was extremely underdone. Waitor struggled to understand what grilled onions were despite them being on menu. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to enjoy their food in a timely manner though so maybe we were just unlucky.

The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 was the noise level from the wedding reception going on upstairs ! Other than that, we were very impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. My husband had a burger (not sure of the name) and said it was great, as well as the steak fries. I went for the bison meatloaf. It was delicious and I was also impressed by the cheese-topped mashed potatoes and the plating.

Food was very good, but management leaves a little to be desired. A large group came in when we already eaten our soup and 1/2 our entrees. Our waiter asked us if “it be a problem for you to move to another table?” They wanted to accommodate this group. We told them yes it was a problem and we continued eating without rushing. I spoke to the waiter and explained that we know his manager asked him to do that. It was not his fault, but he should tell his manager the next time that he won’t because it’s just plain rude.
Great burgers and pleasant staff
