What an expectantly pleasant experience. Stopped in right when they opened at 8am and enjoyed breakfast and the 5 cent coffee. The food was pretty average, but overall good. I’m glad we came for breakfast as I think the lunch or dinner would have been underwhelming, but it’s hard to mess up breakfast food.

What this place offers is ambiance and atmosphere. This really was a highlight stop on our 10-day road trip. Tons for our 4.5 year old and 2.5 year old to do after breakfast and the food came pretty quickly after ordering at the counter. And definitely read about the story of Wall Drug on the menu if you stop in - a really fun and interesting read.l!

Would highly recommend as a breakfast stop if you’re in the area!

Only came for the “free water” 5 cent coffee and the super awesome donuts. We cannot recommend the donuts enough. Literally came in three days in a row just to get the donuts. They’re cake based and one of the best we’ve had.

I had an overpriced mediocre salad, with some of the bitterest Italian dressing I've even had. I'm honestly not sure what flavor the frosting on my vanilla donut was, but it definitely wasn't vanilla (well in the same way that cheap vanilla frosting doesn't taste like vanilla). Though the donut itself was good. I also had a vanilla shake, which was made with the cheapest vanilla soft serve, and was mediocre at best

The chicken and fish sandwiches were mediocre manufactured squares. The buns were good. The vanilla donuts left a horrible taste so I picked the top off. The cake part was excellent and very moist.

With the coffee only being 5 cents it’s saying something that it’s not even worth it. That’s the worst cup of coffee I’ve ever had. Breakfast was decent, but wildly overpriced for what you get. Service was the only redeeming quality.

Good sized cafe. Good food, reasonable priced. It can get extremely busy so be very patient. Check out the specials for the day. Check out the town.

There’s supposed to be a great hot beef sandwich here with homemade gravy. First, I doubt it was homemade gravy, and everything was under seasoned. For the price we paid, not worth it. Secondly, I saw a girl in the serving area coughing behind one of her teammates without covering her mouth. Gross.

Great little spot along I-90 to stop and wander around. Also even though it isn't listed on their menu they do have gluten free buns! May not be celiac friendly.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns

Unfortunately, the food was just average at best. The burger was dry and too expensive. The fries were pretty good, but for the price, none of it was worth it. The ambiance and decoration parts was cool, and the rest of the shops were very fun to explore! Maybe just get food somewhere outside of Wall Drug.

Stopped in for dinner on 06/15/24.

After a long road trip, this was our last meal stop for the day.
While the cafe has great visuals and a lot to look at, you need to wait in (in our case) a long line to order (with kids is tiring) and which you assume means great things.
The menu offers very basic things for a cafe, most of which are either quickly assembled or deep fried, but we were still hopeful.

Between the kids meals and me and the wife splitting a meal, the cost was still more expensive then we would have assumed.

Between a couple kids meals, our split meal + side, and I think 1 more thing, it was $50.

The kids at this point were really in a mood to eat, but I tried their cheeseburger, and it wasn't bad.

Me and the wife were splitting a chicken sandwich, and it tasted like fish. Anyone who works with oil knows you can't use the same oil for fish and other things as the fish flavor gets everywhere, so our chicken sandwich experience was subpar.

Beyond the food, there is tons of things to look at, and enjoy the ambience. Interaction with staff is very limited as you really only get that opportunity when ordering. Constantly have workers clearing/cleaning tables, but otherwise most everything else is self-service.

We stopped here for breakfast because of the 5 cent coffee. I had pancakes and eggs, both were perfect and were cooked up fairly quickly. The coffee was good, you are on your honor to drop a nickel in the slot, so i put in a dime for refills for the two of us. very resonably priced for two people with good appetites.

The coffee is really five cents, and it’s not half bad! So empty out the change from your car when you come, and get a couple cups. Cream and sugar is included. Kind of taste like that coffee of your childhood, drip coffee. And of course, there is the free ice water.

Food is horrible. Overpriced. 3 Chicken strips over cooked and burnt on a small fry $15. Go elsewhere. Kids had kids meal $10 each. Store might be interesting but the cafe…hard pass.
