You say icecream, I say yum. Definitely the go to place in yankton for all things summer. Corn dogs, icecream and more. Its right next to the mini golf place too! You won't regret waiting in line.

Tough to get around the obsession with vanilla and mint syrup. I was hoping it was the actual mint ice cream. Reading the menu would not have helped. Nice kids tho.

First time visitors, came over from the miniature golf next door, the lady taking orders appeared either stoned or having medical issues of some kind. Watched her have to have numerous orders in front of me repeated to her multiple times. She rang up the orders wrong and overcharged. My sister who ordered ahead of me never got her order, went up to get her drinks, they apologized, she had to go BACK up and ask about her food order. Mind you, the french fries were awesome, my butterscotch shake was yummy, but was it worth the crazy long wait time and very poor service? Not really

The food was good, but the ordering experience was... concerning. The person taking the order entered things completely wrong the first time, needed extensive help the second time, the order was completely lost and had to be reordered after that, and it took nearly an hour to get our food

As this season closes I just thought I would share some of my personal observations and opinions from my many visits this year. The restaurant is always clean and the parking lot is free of litter and trash. When you enter the building there are usually around 5 teens working the counter. They seem to be very helpful to their friends and fellow teens who come in but they seem short with anyone older. One example is my mother and I came in one afternoon and both of us ordered the sherbet of the day in a waffle cone with sprinkles. The teen at the counter was not friendly and did not smile, seemed like she absolutely hated her job, Two teens came in after us annd she was very friendly smiley and nice. They ordered the same thing and were given their cones before us. I’ve noticed this on more than one visit this year. The food always seems to take a really long time even for fresh food and in my opinion I believe it’s the communication between the person cooking and the counter. They seem to get ice cream ready before even giving the cooks any food orders. I used to enjoy Dairy Dock but this year I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop there compared to previous years we used to make special trips just to go to Dairy Dock.
Edit: No I did not notify the manager while we were there as the adult there was being called “mom” by some of the staff and I did not want to start any issues with some teenagers mother

Flippin delicious! The perfect soft serve mix. You know how some places taste very fake or so creamy it's not good? This place tastes great! After I finished my small, I'd wished I had gotten a medium even though it was a good serving size. Priced well and good service. Outdoor seating and lots of parking.

love there icecream. Everytime we go camping I have to hit it up 2 or more times for the week. To me its way better than Dairy Queen. Love the upside down banana split and I think it's called peach split sundae. Be heading there again soon since have another camping trip coming up. Wish they were bigger 😉😉😁😁
