Food was poor. Sushi rice was still very warm for my cold rolls, which makes for a rather unpleasant bite. Also wrapped way too loose, as every single bite fell apart as soon as you took it off the plate, even the rice fell off every time. Completely forgot one of my rolls as well. Service was fine aside from forgetting part of my order. We ordered 5 rolls for 2 people and only ever received 4. Limited menu, very overpriced in comparison to other places for similar items. Will likely not be going back again. You’re better off making the trip to Sioux Falls instead. Pretty disappointed.

I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but this experience was frustrating and disappointing.
Language is a barrier for my husband, so to avoid confusion, I sent him with a handwritten note clearly explaining my order: A hand roll with light rice, Philadelphia-style—and I even mentioned I was okay paying extra for the customization.
Instead, they gave him a California roll… Wait, what?! 😮
When I called to ask if there was a misunderstanding, they told me they couldn’t fulfill my request—even if I paid extra! I was confused and asked, “Do you even sell hand rolls?” They said yes, but for some reason, refused to customize it.
Customer service and flexibility were clearly not a priority. I left feeling disappointed, especially since I tried to make the order as clear as possible.

Have been here 2 times, once January and once today (July 2025) the food is decent...but we continue to get the same dude as a waiter and he's totally rude which destroys the atmosphere 😒 😤 🙄 (go for the 3 beers for one free one...it ticks that guy off every time) 🤣

Absolutely perfect from start to finish! I ordered the pork bento box, and every single bite was incredible, tender, flavorful pork, perfectly seasoned rice, fresh sides, and a comforting miso soup that warmed my soul. The milk tea was rich, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet, pure perfection.
My boyfriend had the fried rice and couldn’t stop talking about how good it was, each grain had amazing flavor, and it was cooked to absolute perfection.
The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, and the service was just as amazing, kind, attentive, and welcoming. You can feel the care and love in both the food and the space.
If you’re looking for truly authentic, flawless cuisine, this is the place. We’ll definitely be coming back. A new favorite!

A great place to try Japanese food locally. Everything we ordered was great!! I tried the fried udon noodles and absolutely loved it. My boyfriend had a bento box with miso soup and he said his was great as well!!
