Found a hidden gem for sushi in Battleford… you gotta try Hanabi. We had the edamame, salad (awesome dressing), miso soup (flavourful) tempura (huge portion and very crispy and hot) Unagi roll, and the deluxe nigiri platter. The sushi was amazing, fresh and tender like butter; absolutely no fishy smell which is my indicator of freshness. The service was excellent, very friendly. The atmosphere was family style and very bright. Highly recommend Hanabi for sushi.

Went to Hanabi today with my boyfriend and we both absolutely loved it. The food was delicious- such good options, portion sizes, and overall taste. The service was great- our waitress was so kind and one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had at any restaurant. I’d highly recommend this place we can’t wait to go back.

Several people recommended coming out to Battleford to visit Hanabi Japanese Restaurant for sushi. This was some of the best sushi I have tasted in Saskatchewan. The service from the staff was quick and everyone was very friendly, and the food was well-prepared with beautiful garnish. I had the spicy California roll, gyoza, Philadelphia roll and ebi, and enjoyed them all. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting or who lives in the Battlefords to check them out!
