Their new Georgian tasting menu was awesome! The cheese bread and pâtés were so good. The drinks were very unique and flavourful! My only regret? Not trying the wine! This is a special opportunity to try Georgian cusine! Don't miss out! We are really looking forward to their next menu! We can't wait! Trigo is located in a lovely, recently renovated building. It was super clean and a very cozy atmosphere! We also tried their new take out Cajun Mac and Cheese and it was TO DIE FOR! Forgot to take a picture because we ate it so fast! It came out of the oven smelling like smoky, creamy comfort food. Every bite was full of flavour! we really loved the andouille sausage and HAVE NEVER been able to find it in Saskatchewan before!

This was our 4th time at Trigo. The tasting menus are always amazing. The Austrian tasting menu was the best one yet. This restaurant is a true gem. A must try for sure.

While camping at the Grasslands National Park we decided to go for supper at Trigo’s. What a wonderful gem in the small town of LaFleche! The attention to detail ,from the moment we entered this restaurant was phenomenal! The staff were attentive, friendly and provided exceptional service. The 7 course meal was quite wonderful and presented in an artistic way. It is definitely worth a trip to LaFleche !

We had the pleasure of experiencing their "Austrian" menu.

Every dish was detailed and delicious; our server walked us through every part of the menu and even the wine selections.

At the end of the meal we were treated to a gift of cold brew coffee and cookies as a take home gift.

Highly recommend this hidden gem in Saskatchewan!

We had an exceptional dining experience last night, experiencing the new Austrian menu! It was definitely worth the 7 hour trip to Lafleche, Saskatchewan. From the time we arrived until we rolled out the door, the Trigo Team exceeded any expectation we could have had. This Team are extremely attentive and friendly, offering creative bespoke drinks that represent the theme of the menu. Food… OMG… the food was a wonderful mix of local and authentic Austrian sourced ingredients; the time, research, planning and sourcing was evident in this outstanding culinary delight!!! We really appreciated the information about each course, history and the preparation tips that were shared. Thank you Adam!! Gordon Ramsay, Alain Ducasse, take note!!

Vegetarian options: The Austrian menu has many beautiful options for vegetarians in each course.

Dietary restrictions: Some Gluten free ingredients were used for Austrian menu, let the team know ahead of time of sensitivity.

EVERYONE should go to Trigo Food and Drink in La Flèche.

An outstanding dining experience - and experience is exactly the word. From the moment we booked, with a special seating location request, to the moment we left, with fabulous packaged next-day lunch leftovers in hand, we felt like we were the most special guests they had ever had.
Trigo offers seasonal dining menus that reflect a foreign cuisine. The dishes are intriguingly exotic but not so outre that they scare the newbie diner.
We were there for the Peruvian menu (ends July 27), and even though the restaurant is in La Flèche, two hours from Regina, it was worth every minute of the drive there and back (local accommodations are available for those who prefer not to drive home late).
The multi-course meal started with a complimentary non-alcoholic aperitif typical of the region - it was so good that my mom had a large glass with her meal. This was followed by 3 varieties of seviche, a meat appetizer, and a salad, before we got to the main course. We had a choice of 5 main courses. The portions were so generous that we not only took home leftovers, but were quite full! The meal ended with a scrumptious 3-part dessert and home made chocolates. The cappuccino was great — and may be even better in the months to come as they going to start roasting their own beans.
The entire meal was perfectly cooked by charming and engaging lawyer turned chef Adam - who also takes a turn as the chocolatier, and came out to chat with us! Service is by local staff, who are warm and welcoming, and always expanding their knowledge of the dishes and country they come from so that they can explain options and help the guests explore the menu. The restaurant is intimate but can accommodate larger groups - there was a step down section with a family/group of about 10, but most tables are for 2 or 4.
For everything you get, the $75/pp price tag is more than reasonable.
I have been recommending Trigo to everyone I know since we returned home, and am already planning on returning for my birthday in September, when they will be featuring an Austrian menu (can you say Sacher Torte? AND apfelstrudel?).

Highest recommendation!!!

We had a really lovely time. The atmosphere was great and so was the service. The food was also a fun experience. We had the Peru menu. First off, the value is insanely good. For the price, you get more than your moneys worth. Researching a culture and being able to fully understand its cuisine from a distance is no easy task. Having lived in the Andes for many years, I came in very knowledgeable about that part of the world. Only a few areas I thought could be improved in the food, some flavours that could have been developed more and some elements/ingredients of Peruvian cuisine that could have been used to get that full picture. These are simply my notes and by no means a negative on this experience. The food was great. For someone that has never been to the Andes or knows nothing of it, they won’t have the same view of this. Now in a few of the dishes, I thought they did it better than what I had in the Andes. The street food course was flawless. The main was beautifully executed. Not only was this worth the price, but it was worth the 2 hour ride from Regina (4 if you count the way back). Will be coming here again in the future. I recommend you do too if you’re in these parts of Saskatchewan.
